RDA was getting some rounds in with Bisping for his fights with GSP/Kevin

Parillo has worked with a lot of fighters beyond BJ. Nothing to see here...

Comparing BJ (one of the top 3 biggest legends in the sport) to RDA is offensive

^^ WTF? RDA when he went on his tear at lightweight was legit the most skilled fighter we've ever seen, Bj Penn has a 500 record.

On his best day, RDA couldn't handle the 2001-to-2009 BJ Penn on a mediocre day.

So this begs the question - how much credit do you give Parillo for Bisping being MW champion?

And Mike Perry has a better record than Fedor.

The 2001 to 2009 BJ Penn was 15-5-1 fighting against the best competition in the world while often taking on fighters who were bigger than him.

Unfortunately that man kept fighting way past his prime.

RDA is a fine fighter, but he doesn't deserve to hold BJ's jockstrap.

Today he would. But the BJ Penn of today is not even a faint shadow of the fighter who struck fear in the hearts of fighters like RDA back in 2001 through 2009, back when RDA was getting beat by Clay Guida and Tyson Griffin.

    Title run/reign for both

    BJ Penn
    Pulver, Sherk, Stevenson, Florian, Sanchez

    RDA
    Cerrone 2x, Bendo, Nate, Pettis

Huge BJ fan, but RDA's runs seem better on paper.

+ I think RDA would have been a nightmare match up for BJ
high volume striker, leg kicks and wrestling... geez.

BJ was damn slow compared to RDA and broke in every fight where the going got tough. He also never learned how to check kicks and you bet your ass he couldn't keep pace with RDA.

If BJ doesn't clip RDA early he's fucked

BJ was always a real fighter, despite already being rich, and never ducked a challenge or risk. There was plenty to be high on about the guy. He wasn't hype. Just the above makes his extreme fans not as bad.

Yes he does, but then you never saw a lightweight take on a LHW or larger man that BJ did to test himself. Mind you, I think it's stupid myself, since there are weight classes for a reason, but nonetheless to actually fight way outside your division takes a lot of balls.

Let me know when Conor actually faces a guy that's one division higher (no the Diaz fights don't count as Nate is a LW, not a true WW).

lol you're delusional... BJ's competition at LW was garbage and he got destroyed by a natural FW 3 times who was ran out of the LW division
