She mentally checked out when she said that. What's to gain when your fighter says she is done. She got her ass stopped in the 5th and nothing good came out of it. You say this becuse it's not you gettjng your ass beat

UFC... How did they let him go after Goldberg... They are making Bellator top-tier... While we might stuck with Anik and that one guy who sounds like a member of the UG...

First of all you are soft and weak, ok.

Secondly you shouldn't be watching combat.

Third SHE!!!!! her future WIFE!!! and her CORNER!!!! all say it was the right thing to do..which it was.

She'll never get another title shot and if she got a takedown and a hail mary sub with Nunes by chance gassing you wouldn't even be talking about it. It's all hindsight nonsense from the soft new age fans.

First you weren't in there so you know nothing. Her future wife and corner weren't in there getting there ass beat. The fighter herself said she was done. And what happened the next round. She got stopped. You may think it's cool or heroic doing that that if the fighter themself says they were done then there is no reason to continue. You know nothing becsuse you weren't there. So keep talking the tough talk

You sound like such a pansy.

Why are you telling these professionals what the right thing is when you have zero experience fighting, medical school or with vaginas?

If she went the distance I think there would be a different discussion too.
Penningtons coach also made a point that if Penningtons was a guy there would be much less hysteria over this.

They blacklisted him for commentating at Bellator and its a cardinal sin for UFC's so called 'independent contractors' to work at other gigs. On one hand UFC execs like Dana called other promotions minor leagues and then gets angry when independent contractors who are not fighters put some hours there.

that's probably true if it were a male fighter I doubt so many people would be talking about it.

I mostly agree with Big John, but mostly context matters. The characters, the team, the moment, all that stuff.

My issue is with the trainers that sent her out seemingly did so only because of pride and ego. I don't believe they tried to rally or inspire Pennington, or saw anything she could exploit to win.

If she was a man it would be more understandable, because a man is much more likely to pull a Hail Mary knockout punch out of his ass. But a beaten down woman? She had no hope at all.

I doubt BJM is soft and weak for saying the same thing.
Pennington is less likely to get another title shot by chancing a risky move by going into the fifth when she was already physically and mentally out of it. In such a state, there was no way she could have pulled off a hail Mary move. What happened was predictable, she folded shortly after and turtled up waiting for the ref to stop the fight, hereby keeping to the unspoken no-tap rule.

Pennington was lucky she didn't suffer some more serious injury by coming out in the 5th.

Your argument is stupid. If she didn't want to fight she did not have to. A fighter is allowed to QUIT AT ANY TIME. Period. A corner is not allowed by octagon law to throw in the towel.

This woman is tougher than you could even imagine yourself being.Get over it. Cry less.

Fucking PVZ did a jump kick that stopped the Bec fight. Get fucking real.

She had no way of winning at that point. Not like sending in a guy with one punch power that still had something left but was taking damage.
