this was hard being ARMY because one was a filthy gyrene and the other a walrus(all respect both patriots I admire and respect)

But id have to go with Hathcock because he mounted a hunting scope on a M-2 fifty cal and capped a fool from a bout a mile away. What say you?

And the fist person to bring up the Russian female sniper from the battle of Leningrad is a communist heathen.

Kyle had way more tech to lean on ,plus he's been proven to be quite full of shit. Gotta go with Hathcock.

Hathcock...love the story of him and that Viet sniper stalking each other. Kyle was just on a turkey shoot.

    Gunny Hathcock without a doubt.

One of Hathcock's most famous accomplishments was shooting an enemy sniper through the enemy's own rifle scope, hitting him in the eye and killing him.

During a volunteer mission days before the end of his first deployment, he crawled over 1,500 yards of field to shoot a high-ranking NVA officer. He was not informed of the details of the mission until he accepted it. This effort took four days and three nights, without sleep, of constant inch-by-inch crawling. Hathcock said he was almost stepped on as he lay camouflaged with grass and vegetation in a meadow shortly after sunset. At one point he was nearly bitten by a viper but had the presence of mind to avoid moving and giving up his position. As the officer exited his encampment, Hathcock fired a single shot that struck the officer in the chest, killing him.

    **EDIT
In 1967, Hathcock set the record for the longest sniper kill. He used an M2 .50Cal Browning machine gun mounted with a telescopic sight at a range of 2,500 yd (2,286 m), killing a Vietcong guerrilla

Anyone who's played with this bitch knows its pretty damn hard to shoot accuratly

    Hathcock

He didn't get to just camp out and snipe like how Kyle got most of his kills. He had to infiltrate enemy territory, avoid enemy snipers and take them out first. He also wasn't in a clear urban environment, he was shooting people hiding in tunnels and foliage

Like that battle with the enemy's most famous sniper and they had to crawl around in the jungle trying to get a shot on each other for hours until he caught the glint on his enemies scope and got him

Not disparaging Kyle, what he did was amazing and he deserves all the respect in the world. Just putting how ridiculous hathcock was into perspective

The thing with Jesse the body Ventura is many seals from the Vietnam era resent UDT members claiming to be Seals because Seals were actually in the jungle doing Recon and ambushing Charlie

    UDT's from what I can gather weren't

So Jesse the body's going around saying seal this and seal that and the fact that UDT from the nam era are recognized as Seals by the department of the Gayv I mean Navy lead to some heartburn by some Seals

He is GOAT but he has the best possible conditions of being in a clear snowy mountainous terrain picking off the Russian army who were under armed and sent bodies at bullets

Still think he's GOAT off accomplishments but I think hathcock could've killed at least the same amount in the same situation

Edit: my bad that that was simo. Both simo and hathcock>>>>

Hathcock' s nick name was bad ass as well dude even wore a GD white feather in his boonie hat.

Beyond the drama with Jesse Chris Kyle is a great American that survived hellish military training and deployed multiple times.

He even died honorably trying to help a ptsd vet.
