Best pressure fighters in MMA history?

1. Cain Velasquez
2. Daniel Cormier
3. Khabib Nurmagomedov
4. Tony Ferguson
5. Colby Covington
6. Rafael dos Anjos
7. Robbie Lawler
8. Nick Diaz
9. Cris Cyborg
10. John Lineker

Top 3 are all from AKA, they teach em well over there. If Luke had a better chin he should fight like that too

Shogun should be in there
So should rampage

So this thread is really just name fighters and that is the answer.

Lets put this another way. Who won the most rounds per fight all time. That is the answer to who is the best pressure fighter.

I don't even like him, but Conor is an outstanding pressure fighter.
He's basically the opposite of a pressure fighter. He likes to counter. When he does come forward he paces himself, he doesn't overwhelm anyone with constant pressure.

Jiri from rizin, the Czech dude, constantly pressure his opponents.

Is he, really? He's much more of an outstanding counter striker.

You can counter and still be a pressure fighter. GGG does it all of the time. It makes it even more suffocating for your opponent when they are scared to throw because of your ability to counter. Conor loves to back his opponents up to the cage and pick them apart, especially in his fights prior to Aldo.

You have no idea what a pressure fighter is. Conor does not want apply pressure at all. He wants to stand back and land a punch.

In his prime Cro Cop had a deadly straight left he used very well for pressure.

Cowboy Cerrone.

Absolute best when it comes to folding under pressure.

I'd put Weidman at #2. Good list though

In MMA there are so many different aspects, most notably grappling, that you could try to define pressure fighter in a lot of ways. In boxing, where the term comes from, it just means a fighter who primarily moves forward and doesn't give ground to their opponent. Prior to the Aldo fight, Conor frequently pressured his opponents. You can bait your opponents into throwing and you can counter all while still applying forward pressure. You either have the misconception that all pressure fighters have to be swarmers or you just don't understand striking. Idk which, but either way you're confused.

Pressure fighters come forward, they don't stand back and wait for their opponents to throw first. which is what Conor mostly does, he's a counter striker
