Best pressure fighters in MMA history?

1. Cain Velasquez
2. Daniel Cormier
3. Khabib Nurmagomedov
4. Tony Ferguson
5. Colby Covington
6. Rafael dos Anjos
7. Robbie Lawler
8. Nick Diaz
9. Cris Cyborg
10. John Lineker

Top 3 are all from AKA, they teach em well over there. If Luke had a better chin he should fight like that too
Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez during his WW and LW run broke his opponents with his pressure.

Guida put on a pace that allowed him to beat more technical and athletic fighters. He deserves a mention.

Sonnen
Nick and Nate Diaz
Covington
Rory Macdonald
GSP
Wanderlei

No Wanderlei Silva disqualifies this whole list.

GSP is my number 1. Also would throw in Rory. His pressure on Woodley was outstanding.

GSP never gave anyone a second to breathe. I mean, damn, that is how he won his fights. The defenition actually should be made clearer. A pressure fighter is often what sherdog calls lay and pray. Khabib, Colby, those are the pressure fighters today. The opponents simply don't get a chance to do anything.

Sean Sherk was an amazing pressure fighter, that guy would just come forward, some of his fights he was pouring blood everywhere and ctually used it as a weapon in the Florian fight.

Prime Matt Hughes would bully guys into the takedown and just break them with his unreal strength.

Chael Sonnen can be a hell of a pressure fighter when he wants.

Brock Lesnar against Mir the second time was brutal, he didn't let him even think for a second.

Come to think of it, it's high level wrestlers with good striking and amazing cardio that are the best pressure fighters, they are a nightmare.

Aaaand Nick Diaz is 7-6-1 in the UFC...is THAT "effective pressure"?? o_O
To be fair though, the only question was...who are the best pressure fighters, that is it regardless if the lose.

Diaz bros are volume fighters imo

Nick Diaz, tony ferguson, and Khabib.

Thats my top three.

Conor.

And Machida and Anderson and Wonderboy. Nothing says pressure like counter-strikers. Maybe Tyron against the fence. Starnes might be the GOAT pressure fighter.

GSP was a reaction takedown artist more than a pressure fighter.

Best overall have been Randy, Cain, Khabib, Cormier, Arona, Diaz, Filho, Sherk, Bader, Sonnen.
