Best Kickboxing/Muay Thai gyms in the Netherlands

@Try-angles

The only gym I know by name is Bao Trieu but I don't know how good they are.

Google gave me http://www.renshu-fights.nl

A MMA gym with bjj and kickboxingclasses.

Not far from Groningen, in Zuidlaren, you can find Sem Schilts gym:

In Zuidlaren you can also find the gym of Sem Schilt his trainer, Dave Jonkers:

Maybe someone more familiair with above gyms or the city Groningen can tell you about the quality of the gyms.

I'm not too familiar with the gyms in the north, but I know there is a Mejiro Gym in Friesland which is it not too far from Groningen.

I've trained at Mike's. I'd definitely recommend it

I'm heading to Amsterdam in a few months and was thinking of checking it out. How hard was the sparring there? I'm used to the sabai sabai Thai style and my old body and brain aren't too keen on full out sparring these days.

It's pretty hard to be honest. Most of the classes don't have sparring though, it's mostly fitness and drilling techniques/combinations with a partner. It's a "tough" environment but there's a great training atmosphere and everyone works together, I picked up some great techniques from Badr Hari and Murthel Groenhart for example.

Cool thanks for the reply. I'm gonna be jet lagged as hell and taking care of my son the whole trip so I can't afford any injuries. I am for sure going to go train though. One of the top things on my list to do in life is to train in Amsterdam!
