It's not even close.

I don't give a shit about celebrities but I cried when Adam West died. He was instrumental in my childhood, taught me a lot of how to be a good person.

The other batmans are pale, one dimensional imitations, except Keaton. He got closest to the origin, batman as a flawed character, not on some emo "I'm so dark and brooding" trip but actually coming accross as having something a little wrong with him. Of course in silver age it was everyone who was out of kilter and it was likely chance and west's genius rather than direction but I maintain that it's still a defining characteristic of true batman.

I read a cool theory that Batman was born on the night Thomas and Martha were killed; and Bruce is the false character that Batman shows the world.
