Tried to narrow it down to the best I can. Sorry if I'm missing the band you're thinking of.

I voted for Metallica. They were at their best in the 80's. Unfortunately, everything after the 80's was a steep downhill ride for them as far as I am concerned.

Man that's just too hard to decide.. but out of the list you made... I'll go with Metallica. I'd probably say Van Halen over them but most of their best work was before 1980

Hard to decide between Metallica and Depeche Mode, IMO

Then again, it's a touch choice between Guns N' Roses and Motley Crue

Guns n' Roses and it's not even close. That one album surpassed everything any other band achieved in the entire decade.

They came out at the end of the 80's and they put out two great albums. Probably should of considered putting them in the poll. But there is so much to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down.

    Led Zeppelin.

Hey, technically they broke up in 1980 when Bonham died.

For me it was The Misfits. But if I were to pick a band from your list, it would be The Smiths.
