Bernie slams Nikki Haley, AKA writes a respectful letter of disagreement

The US ignoring this new wave of poverty will be the factor that finally brings it down.
The US capitalists system was always set up to benefit of the poor. But until now that was concentrated mostly in the bigger cities. Now it is hitting the US heartland and middle-class full on. With the healthcare, opioid and extreme income inequality. It is the middle class that is bringing down governments.

Trump is already the first sign of it. And he speeds the process up a lot by ignoring the healthcare and opioid crisis and set up the system to benefit the rich even more.

Do you even know what communism is, homeboy? It's not an elevated baseline standard of living for everyone, that's something that we're experiencing under capitalism as a feature of it. That elevated baseline, however, isn't experienced by many people - that's called poverty. Arguing in favor of reducing poverty is not automatically communism.

But hey, please keep proving every stereotype of Americans not knowing jack shit about political and economic systems by throwing the word "communism" in here to sound smart. Achievement unlocked: "Average Idiot".
I would ask you what it is like to be a drone, but I don't have access to your programming manual.

Our poor have it good in the U.S. We don't need to give the U.N. more control.

The poor in America should content themselves with the knowledge they have helped produce some of the richest people the world has ever seen.

I do think America is worth looking at as to me it seems like a small world. You have your rich, middle and poor with vast gulfs between the them.

Fact that always interested me was the incredible disparity between mean (4th) and median wealth (24th).

Before we invite the UN in, what's their track record for improving the lives of the poor in other countries they tried?

Excellent.
But I am not sure it will work for the US. The UN usually works in poor African countries.
They would have to adjust their policies to account for the lower education levels in the US.
They will also have to invest in those super large toilets seats if they operate in the US.

Your German and can clearly see it.

How is it credibile that so many in the media, and politics don't?

Yeah, I think the biggest threat to the US is not China, Russia or terrorism.
But rather a total collapse of the healthcare system. People getting older and you don't have the young people anymore coming into the workforce and especially healthcare positions are not desirable.
That trend is going to cause a serious issue to the Europen/Japanese style systems. And those are working systems. But they will still be affected.
That would be the number one issue the US has to solve. Education and income inequality a close second.
Not spending another 50 Billion on defense. And I think those issues can only be solved with higher taxes for the rich.

Conservative - WHAT? Let in immigrants??????? WHAT ABOUT THE POOR PEOPLE IN OUR COUNTRY????
Liberal - Ok, let's help the poor people with free healthcare, increased food programs, and free higher education.
Conservative - WHAT? THAT'S SOCIALISM! THE POOR PEOPLE HERE HAVE IT GOOD ENOUGH ALREADY! FUCKING BUM!

wash. rinse. repeat.

You can also replace "immigrants" with anything else like aid to developing countries, among other things.
No such things as free healthcare

Yep, and add the education bubble, and stock market bubble waiting to burst.

Can I predict which one, and when it will burst?

Nope, but the likely hood of collpase today is staggering.

I wonder how the rest of the world thinks it will fair if the US collapses? My prediction is that most would collapse as well.

Germans would have a chance. You are on a short list of countries that would. That renewable electricity will look like pure genius if global commerce comes to a grinding halt.

But that logic absolutely nothing is free. Ever has been or ever will be.

Technically you could say that is correct, but it makes the word totally meaningless/useless in context of cost and therefore I don't think you understand the word correctly.

It's mind boggling EC

Nikki Haley is part of the oligarchy so of course the US to her, is the "wealthiest and freest and bestest country in the world"

Of course if they started taxing her slightly more to improve things like health care and infrastructure she would probably take that back.

And? Because people at some point in time had dirt floor and a straw bed to sleep on we should count ourselves lucky we have more than that a hundred years later? Standards of living evolve, that's the whole fucking point of economic development, the baseline goes up up up. The frame of reference for me when I was growing up was that only rich kids had cell phones. Guess what? A kid who was born in 2001 doesn't know and cannot understand - and, much more importantly, doesn't need to understand - my frame of reference - they have their own, and they have their own baseline. Saying "someone in Somalia has it far worse" is the biggest load of bullshit ever used in an argument. It's not an argument. Somalia is not the frame of reference in the US. Poverty is not an absolute state - it's a state relative to the standard of living within a specific society. So it's unintelligent at best - and callous as fuck at worst - to state that just because we grew up with less than what kids have nowadays have, they somehow should count themselves lucky. It's bullshit.

Murkan poor have it better than Medieval kings and the richest cavemen brother with their Iphones. Think about that.;)

Medieval kings and richest cavemen BTFO!

Spoken like a true German National Socialist!!!

To be fair... the poorest American to the richest American is a scary difference in quality of life. But the poorest American to like the poorest rural person in Africa?

I'm not saying I am taking Haley's side or Bernie's side of this argument it's just a lot of this is real relative.
