Yeah, it clearly is an undeliverable promise. She's simply not capable of bullshitting the way we've decided politicians should these days.

    Case in point:

Sounds like you agree in substance with what she said, but you actually want to be lied to.

You don't think addiction is a legitimate health problem? That's strange. But even if you don't think alcohol related health problems should be treated, without something like Sanderscare, people with expensive needs that aren't caused by vice will be economically buried by high premiums and out of pocket costs. Which is wholly unfair.

By making everyone else pay for it. Why should I give my time (aka all the hours I work) to pay for someone else's shit???? How the fuck is that moral?

Marxist morality where you get a bread line, and starve to death, and 100 million murdered

    Well fuck that!

Way to completely fail to grasp the context of what I was asking.

Also, hilarious, your "First single payer, then 100 million Lysenko lite murders!!" lol.

It's moral because it ensures people with expensive medical needs are not severely hindered (worse than they already are) in their pursuit of happiness.

As already stated, we need to see the numbers on this. But even there is a shot of a net reduction in what people pay for healthcare, proposing a tax increase to the middle class is going to be one hell of a sell. And there will be lots of people that lose, particularly those that have employers who foot all or some of the bill for insurance (I'm in this boat). Over time those people can negotiate other benefits or higher salary but the initial kick in the ass will not be embraced.

there was no compromise needed, it was not a bipartisan bill. There were initial bipartisan bills, but that doesnt mean aca was bipartisan.

And so begins the push to normalize Kamala Harris.

No thanks. She's a big cunt. Hopefully the bill is good though.

It wasn't bipartisan because the republicans were clear from the start that no matter what was put forward by Obama they were going to oppose it .

The fact remains that the the basic fundamentals of the ACA are Republican ideas

they had the ball, they should have ran with the UHC. They didnt, and we get this turdball of legislation. ACA has got to go, repubs should just ram whatever they need, but they dont have the majority like the dems had prior.

I'm a democrat but in reality this bill is going no where and Bernie is doing this to put Republicans in the position to denying access to healthcare to millions of American's and even proposal such as buying prescriptions from Canada through their exchanges. A friend of mine son needs an inhaler and Blue Cross denied her coverage and she pays 115.00 dollars a week for healthcare. The inhaler will cost her 105 dollars a week for it through her health insurance it drops to around 20 a week I think.

The Republicans can pass whatever they want they just lack cohesion

The Democrats on the other hand had a supermajority for approximately two months

I understand that they didnt have the full super the whole time, and it wasnt needed probably most the time anyhow, they would agree on stuff more often than not. Only really partisan issues like HC, does it matter. ACA came down the line with 0 repub support and full democratic support.

dont really care much at this point to blame on a party or the other, just hoping whoever is in control doesnt take half measures. Either fully UHC or fully privatize with less government involvement and insurance levels. There was a time in my lifetime that even private healthcare was only siphoning 10% GDP or so. That reasonable and manageable, 17+% is NOT. UHC would certainly drop it to that level or below, either methods would probably have a lot of negativity involve since people will temporarily lose jobs. In the long run, it's worth it.
