Ah, yeah, it is literally Obama's fault. He destroyed the infrastructure, the military, the government and any semblance of order in Libya - then slave traders and gangs took over the country. He sent billions to rebel fighters in Syria which tore the country apart and much of the same happened in areas without government control.

Yes, these are all things directly a result of Obama's war mongering.

The bottom line is the US consumes billions of barrels of oil every year and cheap oil is necessary for the economy to be competitive. The only countries that have large quantities of oil, apart from Saudi Arabia, are Iran, Russia and Venezuela (now non-functional). You can try to argue all day that in a vacuum, the US should never associate with Saudi Arabia, but you're not taking in account the real-world situation at hand. OK bud, let's say we dump the long-standing alliance with Saudi Arabia... now we're in business with Iran or Russia, also awful states, and we're dealing with a lot more unknowns.

Or we could use our own oil reserves while leading the world in investment in alternative energies thereby beginning the needed solution to another massive problem no one gives a fuck about. Global warming.
