But those things aren't free, they are paid for by the taxpayer. Although not so much Bernie Sanders, who only pays a 13% tax rate on his 200k earnings. In Bernie's social utopia people on minimum wage would be paying more towards this 'free shit' than he does.

No shit they're not free. Bernie was proposing paying for them by taking a portion of what the taxpayer gives to fund the military and by increasing the taxes on the super rich.

And if he personally paid 13% or 30% or 100% in taxes doesn't matter much to me. He's running on a proposal to change how the nation pays, not how he personally pays. He's only one person.

Similar story with Trump. Him not paying taxes doesn't bother me too much either (though it does a little more than Bernie since Trump is obviously much, much wealthier and thus would contribute much more to the federal budget), it's his proposals that end up giving tax cuts to mass numbers of rich people that I'm against. One person doesn't make much difference.
