In my opinion, there's no way Eddie Alvarez is worth more than or way more than Bendo and many other top tier UFC champs/fighters. I doubt he'd be a bigger draw than Bendo, etc.

Not really about that. It's about what you're willing to pay to get him in your organization or keep him out of the other guy's. Bendo's a bigger draw for sure, but when he signed his contract, Bellator wasn't as big as they are now and the UFC probably seemed like the place to be regardless of the pay.

Oh, and he wasn't complaining when he signed his deal.

Look at other pro sports, it's not at all uncommon for a less talented guy to get signed to a bigger contract than a star who's 3-4 years into his.
