Its in 4 days ! ONE Championship: Immortal Pursuit, Nov. 24, 2017
I hope Aoki chokes the life out of Askren
Won't stream, will check results the next day.
wrong forum. wasteland since it's talking about 2 nobodies
Garbage fight. Aoki has fought at FW and could easily fight there again. He was also outgrappled by Gilbert Melendez, who's also now fighting at FW (and not doing well at all). 2 weight class size difference = no real test for Askren, once again. Give him Palhares if you want to see him fight a true WW that's actually a threat.
Supposed to be the final fight of askren's career shame we never got to see him in UFC, also how the fuck is Aoki only 34 years old, remember this guy fighting at the end of pride days and dream, thought he would be close to 40 now.
One FC has my $10 i guess
Ghouls undead from Warcraft
I CANT WAIT!!!
It's going to look like Hughes vs Gracie. Askren is going to maul him.
More action in that gif than in his fights.
Can't wait to watch The Funky GOAT
I won't even have to call in sick to work for this fight because I will be off for Thanksgiving still.
Are you from America? American residents havent been able to buy the iPPV for 9.95 during Askrens last 2 fights and are instead required to sign up for www.flocombat.com for the month to watch. Maybe it offers a free week long trial though not sure.
I'm already a member for their wrestling footage so it works out good for me as a fan.
nice to see Aoki challenge himself but i think he's gonna get grounded and pounded out
Aren't they both somewhat Evolve guys? It almost makes me wonder if Askren will take it easy on him instead of GnPing him into hamburger meat.
I know Aoki hasn't looked that good for a while, but I'm not sure how all you guys think Askren is just going to ride the shit out of him, like he does to most guys. Aoki might get hit and crumble, but he's not going to get smothered.
You said that exact thing-- almost word-for-word-- in another thread.
Askren also walks around at like 178-180 and Aoki weighs like 170. It's not a "welterweight vs a featherweight" fight like you think (Aoki also started his career as a welterweight), and the reason Aoki moved back up to lightweight was cuz' he knows featherweight isn't his weight-class. Since when does fighting once in a division make you that division for the rest of your life?
And the fact that you know so little about grappling that you think Askren will easily be able to beat Aoki suggests that you really don't know what you're talking about. Aoki has one of the best rubber guards in this sport's history, and Askren's modus operandi for passing guard is pressing his head into his opponent's chest and neck while he stands his legs up and steps over-- which is the worst thing you can do against someone with a good rubber-guard. How exactly is he gonna easily outgrapple that?
You could've spared two rambling paragraphs with a simple "I know Aoki isn't a real test at WW, but I'll do my best to justify the fight."
Anyone have any idea around what time this will be happening on the east coast?
