Bit gutted by his boxing furlough, though at least he is doing it the right way and not a one fight money grab he has no right being in. Hopefully he gets a few more quick ones in and either fights someone decent or gets it out of his system. A prize-fight style one night tournament would be good for him.

Meh. I say exchange Ward and Fitch for Ruth and Storley. Ward isn't good and Fitch is Fitch. Bellator also recently signed a 24 year old Ukrainian who is 19-0, only two decision wins. He should be an alternate at the very least.

Ward isn’t good? He’s the winner of the Bellator MW tournament a few years ago. He’s also always a figure to put on a show, win or lose. Definitely deserving of being in the tournament. I think he’d beat MVP. Those two should have fought years ago. Better late than never.

He's the Bellator Mike Perry. Meaning he's pretty much hit his ceiling. He'll beat the lower level guys and manage to stick around but don't expect him to beat any legit competition. Take him for what he is. An entertaining (sometimes cringe-worthy) brawler.

I think he at least deserves a shot since his name is still relevant in Bellator and he’s done a lot for the promotion. I do think he’d beat MVP or Fitch though if he were paired against either. Rory and Lima would give him problems though.

Last thing I’ll say in Wards defense is that most people had him winning round 1&2 va Gonzalez, including sherdog.

On a side note with MVP, we can make the argument he’s never faced legit competition. This tournie will be a true test for him. Hope they put MVP vs Daley in round 1, and I don’t see MVP getting past Daley.

Yeah hes exciting that's for sure I wouldn't mind him as an alternate but I feel there are simply better guys they can have in the top 8 like Storley and Ruth.
