No Kongo, no Ayala, instead they are dropping in all of their "name" guys from across three weight classes.

Scott Coker has learned nothing from his Strikeforce days.

He was 22 years old when he lost that fight at TUF, he is a well rounded HW and has legit skills, i'm not talking about records.

My point is that all of the people he's beat don't have Wikipedia pages (except two).

I hate to say this, but I think Fedor might lose to Frank Mir at this point, either by sub or KO. I don't see him significantly changing his training or game-plan at this point, and he's absolutely shot. He retired in 2013 for a reason, he should've stayed retired.

Mo could very well LnP Mitrione. I mean, the guy got taken down by Travis Browne, of all people.

Chael probably LnP's Rampage at this point. Rampage is so out of shape, it's ridiculous. His last fight with King Mo was just sad to watch.

As long as Bader is careful, he should be able to decision Roy Nelson. However, there's always a chance Roy cracks that chin. Although, Roy has turned into an LnP'er himself, lately.

This is a version of the Strikeforce HW GP that is a billion times worse and is an even bigger recipe for disaster. Don't be surprised if Javi Ayala or Carl Seumanutafa ends up winning the whole thing. Although I'm not sure if that would be better or worse than Bader or Mo LnP'ing the crap out of everyone. Regardless, I'll watch it.

Right you are. This is the real picture of MMA heavyweight scene today. Old guys all around. (UFC too).
By the way my calculation: 1 MW, 3 LHWs and 4 HWs. Fedor is small guy but he spent his entire life in HW so he belongs in HW.
If the name of this tournament would be "Openweight Tournament" the situation would be clear and decent.

More grappling for sure, but I don't think he's going to be able to do much different on the feet. He'll never be able fight at range. They shoulda started him off with Chael.

Anything except trt wont make much difference i guess as long his chin is exposed. Untill some promotion finally wont let young talents show their abilities we gonna watch retired fighters

If Frank Mir doesn't get boomshackled, he'll strangle his way to the title.
