What was it with that main event tho? Seemed like a LW fighting a MW....Pointless fight, would had been a BIG LW wrestling machine, but it was Melvin ffs, a striker.....Short striker.

Bellator promoted Josh neer vs Paul Bradley as a main event not too long ago too so this isn't new form for them

The card was utter shit, but I have no idea why people are calling it an early stoppage in the Rickels fight. That guy was a total can. He was a human punching bag. How much damage are you going to let a guy take while mounting no semblance of an offense? That "fight" went on plenty long enough.

I was just thinking on that yesterday while Rickels was fighting

yeah it was a missmatch, yeah his opponent was a can, but neither of that justifes the stoppage. Rickels was doing almost nothing to finish the fight, the opponent was trying to fight back, the ref just saw an opportunity to stop the fight and he did it

the fight would have ended with the same winner, but you have to make something else than that to get the finish

one of the least interested I've ever been for a Bellator card. I'm sure there were but I cant remember one I cared less about.

I did laundry during the female fight.

Fedor card should do good but ones after that dont look good either.

Had low expectations going in, but expected the main event to at least culminate with a knockout.

Totally slipped my mind it was even on, I'm a diehard MMA fan. Talked to a buddy this morning and said it was awful event.

Spike/Bellator has to understand they need to cut some these cards or rebrand some events as Bellator lite or whatever and treat them like that. Basically up and comers with Melvin type guy headlining it. But do it in small venues, probably Indian Casinos that they don't have to spend squat on the event. Use the events a week before a "tent pole" type event to help promote it.

When Bellator uses what they got correctly they pull in much better ratings. When they do what they been doing it just all kind of falls flat outside of 2 or 3 events the whole year. It's proving it hasn't grown the brand at all or very little at best.

He is right, it was awful, if you haven't seen it then don't bother. Waste of time. I like Bellator in general, but some of these events are really bad.

I couldn't be bothered to watch either the Bellator card or the UFC one.

UFC 149 was way worse. 1 finish and 4 lackluster decisions that you had to pay to see.
