Larkin can definitely win this by keeping it technical. Gonzalez is tough as hell though and can find ways to win.

You ain’t kidding. He’s been the underdog in like 6 of his Bellator fights, and has won all but one, the mvp fight. Even then, that fight was so lack luster it could have gone either way.

This “should” be a good bounce back fight for Larkin. I say should because Fernando has proven that he could derail a lot of fighters.

This fight isn’t too far from where i stay at. If it built nicely, i might go.

Even worse, IMO he could have won if he would have pulled the trigger in the second

Both fights he lost (MVP in MMA and Daley in KB) he took the third round

I always forget about his kb fight. You’re right. I remember daley throwing everything he had in the first two round, then Fernando coming back strong in the 3rd. Gonzalez is not a bad fighter at all; he just has absolutely no appeal. He lacks the look, the personality. Sad to say because he’s not bad, but it’s true.

Larkin has to win this fight, he cant go 0-3 in Bellator.

Crazy how a few months change things. Go back to March when he signed and people in media said UFC would live to regret ever letting him go. Few months later he's on the verge of going 0-3 and Bellator and becoming basically irrelevant in the overall WW landscape.

    Credit bellators WW Division.

He should be favored over Gonzalez, but Fernando has defied the odds time and time again.

Ummmm....ufc is still dumb as fuck for letting him go....

Bellator did a great job nabbing him....he hasn't won yet but that doesn't really matter.

Bellator WW division got a validated when Lima the homegrown bellator champ beat Larkin a rising ufc fighter ppl thought would run through the division.

Then Daley a perennial title contender took out Larkin too.Larkin has very solid wins on his resume that aren't erased cuz he lost......it only validates the quality of fighters in bellator and shows the ufc brand doesn't hold the weight it used to.

You can never count Gonzalez out but I would think Larkin will take care of this on the feet.

This would be fun too see in Bellator Kickboxing.

I agree with this. Bellator did not mess up by picking up a top 10, arguably top five talent. its easy for people to argue that bellator messed up or the ufc were geniuses for what they did when they have the luxury of hindsight. although larkin is winless in bellator, he is still an asset for them. he isnt a top ratings draw, but he fights out of a place that bellator visited frequently, southern california. bellator used to visit temecula a heck of alot more, but havnt in recent years because ive heard that pachanga was doing construction in some of their venues(or so ive read). construction seems to have been completed, so we might see bellator starting hitting that spot up more and more. people like georgi, awad, larkin, are prime candidates for events held in and around temecula. drawing huge ratings is tough and costs a lot of money in advertising. getting local draws to draw locally costs less money and more cost effective overall.

    just my opinion

looks like this is another Bellator catchweight fight 180 pounds. 1/4 of all Bellator main card fights this year have been at a catchweight.

Really dont get why they book so many catchweight fights.

Gonzalez missed weight in his last two fights. I think he'd be very hard pressed to make 170 pounds again unless he changed a lot up in his diet.
