genuinely like this card, actually. grove-honeycutt, gonzalez-girtz, baby joe, the pfist, i think this'll be a fun friday night

(that said, how does coenen get the titleshot over dufresne? hehe. i know dufresne missed weight for their fight, but... bizarre (considering she's on the prelims)

Def a solid card for a lower end Bellator show, at least as far as being fun is concerned. Interested on how these lines will be set

Bet the farm on my boy jason witt via sub. He trains with some very good fighters here in kc, and he's probably the hungriest fighter on this card.

He's a strong stocky WW and a very good wrestler. Subs are his finish of choice.

you won't find odds for that fight anywhere, sadly

I know all the main card fighters but I can't say that I have a strong lean on betting any of them. Anyone else have any side they like?

yea i have a lot of leans, but i just can't say until we get the lines

honeycutt out, mike rhodes in (vs kendall)

Wonder how big of a dog Rhodes will be.....

Should be an interesting line

I will be on Rhodes. Looking at his L's he has been in there with solid guys.

Rhodes trains out of Roufus in Milwaukee and has solid striking, I expect him to have an advantage there. I dont think Kendall has the wrestling to consistently get it to the mat, but would be worried if he did get Rhodes down. Need to watch tape to refresh, but have seen Rhodes live before.

Bellator 174: Coenen vs. Budd
MARCH 3, 2017
WinStar World Casino and Resort | Thackerville, Oklahoma

Main Card (Spike, 9 p.m. ET)

Inaugural Women’s Featherweight Title

Marloes Coenen +100
Julia Budd -140

Over 2.5 -215
Under 2.5 +165

Mike Rhodes +145
Kendall Grove -185

Over 1.5 -175
Under 1.5 +135

Brandon Girtz +135
Fernando Gonzalez -175

Over 1.5 -215
Under 1.5 +165

Steve Garcia Jr. +100
Joe Taimanglo -140

Over 2.5 -195
Under 2.5 +155

The risk in the main event is Marloes Coenen catching a submission, but if she doesn't, I think almost 36 year old Coenen gets out wrestled to a ground and pound late stoppage or decision loss. I'm counting on Rhodes' diverse striking to give Kendall trouble, even on short notice. His takedown defense has improved considerably since he left the UFC, so hopefully he doesn't get taken down and subbed by Da Sypder's long limbs. The other two fights I don't think I am going to pick a side as I can see it going either way potentially and I like the over for both with such resilient fighters.

Bellator 174
Risk $620.50

Julia Budd (-140) vs Marloes Coenen $140.00 for $100.00
Julia Budd/Marloes Coenen Over 2½ (-215) $107.50 for $50.00
Mike Rhodes (+145) vs Kendall Grove $100.00 for $145.00
Mike Rhodes/Kendall Grove Over 1½ (-175) $87.50 for $50.00
Brandon Girtz/Fernando Gonzalez Over 1½ (-215) $107.50 for $50.00
Joe Taimanglo/Steve Garcia Jr. Over 2½ (-195) $78.00 for $40.00

ah shit, i missed openers, but man, idk

i'm semi-wiki capping a play on taimanglo -140, tho unsure if that's even a good price

kinda considering grove if he keeps dipping (he's -150 now) -- or gonzalez nearer to evens.. or girtz if he goes higher...

wanted better on budd. or on that O2.5.

O1.5 is retarded on girtz-gonz, that shit's going 3, anyway. should be O2.5

Honestly, I'm surprised by the odds on this one. First Bellator in a while without a favorite over -200. I'm on Taimanglo, Girtz, Grove, and Coenen.

Coenen vs. Budd is 5 rounds, right? To me the odds make sense for a 3 rounder, but at 5, Coenen should be favored IMO.

Good point, Budd has no finishing skills , I agree 5 is better for Coenen

Hrmmm
