BBC: Inside the minds of White America

Whites actively have benefited from the terrorism, colonialism and wrong doings that their ancestors have caused on the other peoples of the world through generational wealth which was denied to blacks. Not even the forty acres and a mule. I love the argument "it weren't us man! it was our ancestors" but y'all are more than happy to reap the benefits of your ancestors and celebrate those historical figures that committed the bloodshed. Save the farce.

Could you at least thank us for the internet connection you're using to post with?

This is true. I had black friends from high school and college that were circulating all the pro-Harlem propaganda (about segregation being good for the currency staying within the community) and other tripe dispensed by groups like the Black Israelites. #BLM supporters were talking about all-black communities who would police themselves (similar to the disastrous model that is currently in place for many tribal casinos!)

I didn't see a single white American advocate for segregation.

Sad but true.
-It's quite evident in urban cities; the minorities' thought process is well tainted.

I've actually had to lose communication with a portion of my family due to their racist dispositions;
(mind you they are well mixed themselves, and met my German side of the family with smiles and open arms)
-a bit weird in terms of determining the root cause of their negative feelings; they themselves are successful and were not subject to violent attacks from pre-civil rights America, but well bitter about god knows what.

The biggest phenomena IMO is how humans become so different in a social group setting when compared to a single/one on one & smaller social setting.

I think there are both individualized and tribal mindsets, and one can switched 'modes' based on their current environment. People like to belong to a tribe of sorts. Even if it is something as simple as sports team fans.

This is a real eye opener. BBC sent a journalist to investigate racism in the minds of white America. It's almost as if segregation never left.

What a garbage piece of leftist propaganda.

"Asians include Pacific Islanders"

Filipinos have the options to choose "Pacific Islander" as ethnicity.
Yes Because nobody wants to be associated with Asians, that includes Asians.
Sad but true.

The hive mind is what the media controls.

Thanks for reminding me about all the 'generational wealth' that my parents and grandparents accumulated for me. I gather I have a trust fund or inheritance coming my way that I know nothing about.

Cant wait for my 'generational white wealth' check to arrive. I'll feel bad knowing the money came from robbing some foreign land, sure, but still when that massive inheritance check comes in it's going to be great.

I stopped listening when they implied that there are black families making over 125,000 living in the hood. Just fucking stop, there is no black family making that much money that decides to just live in the hood. I can believe they were rejected by some racist mortgage lender but I'm sure they just went to some corporate lender that had no issue and gave them the loan.

Fair and accurate point.
Just wonder why ones "moral code" goes out the window; as opposed to just positive emotional elation in a tribe settings.

It's crazy how emotion works in these tribe/social setting; you can lose yourself fairly easily
-Makes one wonder which is their "true" self

I definitely have seen the switched modes

"The race card has been played" argument is a sign of people not wanting to take responsibility of their contribution towards racism.

"The race card has been played" argument is a sign of people not wanting to take responsibility of their contribution towards racism.

The argument is true though.

The race card is pretty close to finished due to its gross over-use on social media. I'm sure various micro-aggressions against people's races will continue to take place, forever and there-after, but people are going to give less and less of a shit about it. We grow desensitized to what is thrown at our face on a daily basis.

And by doing so, we may finally find a semblance of peace between the "races", as they come to acknowledge that not everything is worth "triggering" for.

Eventually this may lead to a much-needed decrease in people's "race consciousness".

What I have noticed is that racist white people treat racism like it's a game, where other racists see how far they can cross the line without getting caught. Then when someone gets called out, all the other racists come to their defense, downplaying the act, as if ganging up and bullying the victim makes their bigotry acceptable.

The "race card" isn't going anywhere. The truth is, most people wish it would go away, because the only people who bring up the race card are white people. It used as a way to belittle a victim and hijack the discussion when they are expressing their injury.

Racism is a mental disease that is contagious. It's pretty pathetic, and cowardly when someone projects their psychosis on to other people, instead of taking responsibility to self-improve.

I have traced my ancestry back to the 1600's Quebec Canada. My Great Great Grandparents came to America and claimed land in Michigan (which was a free state during slavery) in the 1860's shortly after the Civil War.

My bloodline was never here during slavery nor were they ever in nation that had slaves (Canada) There were also never any Jim Crow laws in Michigan.

Maybe if the Blacks didn't sell their people off like cattle to begin with we wouldn't be having this discussion.

True. Depending on the state and the city in America.
. 69% of Blacks graduate from high school in the U.S.
. 35% of Blacks graduate from college in the U.S.
. 72% of Black children are raised in a single parent household in the U.S.
. Black on Black murders in the U.S. every 6 months = 3,746. As of 2014 there has been 2,386 U.S. military casualties in the Afghanistan conflict. That's in 13 years of war.

Because only white people are racist, right?

This is so infuriating. Not the discussion of racism, because there is no doubt that it exists, but the white privilege classes and being hit over the head with how white this is, or that is.

The oscarssowhite garbage and virtually every article in entertainment weekly, for example, being about women not being directors, or "no good roles for people of color" and how white dominant everything is and how evil that is. Want to take a guess when the last time an editor for entertainment weekly was a person of color? Well, it hasn't happened yet. Same for time magazine. So what I would like to do every time I read one of those articles is to take the magazine and roll it up and stick it up their ass, then give them a nice lemon juice enema.

Then the white privilege glasses were a treat as well. Because the cop just runs at the guy because he is black. Ok. I wonder if those glasses would do anything if they could be reversed, and then put on the narrator, and he could take off his blinders when walking through the black neighborhoods where blacks are shooting other blacks daily? Would he still be concerned about the privilege classes?

I had a great upbringing, with two working parents in the home, and if you expect me to feel guilty about that, or out on some privilege glasses, well, you can stick a flaming pinecone up your ass because it isn't going to happen. There are inequalities in the world, and we should work to fix those problems, but the inherent advantages to being white have nothing to do with single parent households and the violence and crime in black America. Maybe we do something to try and narrow that advantage gap, but that won't erase bad decisions when it comes to having children with a drug dealer/gang member who is locked up and unable to raise the children he would not raise if he were not behind bars in the first place. Trying to make white people feel guilt for things they have no control over, such as being white, will not change the dropout rate, strict adherence to crime, not having two parents in the home to raise children that keeps people poor generation after generation.

And that goes for both poor whites and poor blacks. Maybe poor whites may have a slightly easier time changing their station in life if they so choose, but the problem is even given the opportunity, many would not take that opportunity. Regardless of race, people that work and have jobs should be able to survive in this country. I would be more than happy to see my tax dollars go to insuring that people that work hard have homes and are able to pay bills and buy food. The people that don't work, well let's just say I would rather help those willing to help themselves.

I am just sick of this garbage programming. It could have been a comedy had that guy been robbed or shot, and we all know which side of the town that would happen on.
