Lister and Lesnar are nowhere near the same size, completely different grapplers as well

Yeah, they couldn't be more different. Barnett won that match just before the bell by systematically making it painful and difficult for the much smaller Lister. It was catch at its finest, but doesn't work if you don't have a pretty serious wrestling/strength advantage.
