None really. Though a few more famous(for metal) bands were from here, or came here shortly after forming.
Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Morbid Angel, and Death immediately spring to mind.

That's actually from my hometown. I'm near Seattle now, and you probably know all the bands from there

Alright. These are pretty much before my time but probably well known

(no lie: I dated the guitarist's niece when I was in high school)

(Long after these guys were over, I was working at a record store. The guitar player, Gary Richrath came in with his girlfriend. He walked to the back where the vinyl was and she came up top the counter. "Do you know who that is? She asked me. I looked. and said no, I don't think so. She said, Thats REO Speedwagon. Gary Ritchrath!. Fuckers didn't buy anything. lol)

Current city? Iggy Pop -- is he well known by millennials and younger?

Bob Seger and Madonna would be well known performers.

    With honor
    Death threat
    Boiling man

My town itself has no musical exports. However Long Island itself is well known for Billy Joel and Blue Öyster Cult
