Will it be like Grimm and Supernatural with Campbell playing a mentor role to young Demon Hunters ?

You wouldn't have found Sam Raimi's name on any of the schedules for Friday's Comic-Con programming, but the director dropped by to announce that he's currently working on an Evil Dead TV series, which he's co-writing with his brother Ivan. Even better, he's planning to draft Bruce Campbell

Starz is bringing Evil Dead to TV. The premium network has greenlighted an original series that will serve as a follow-up to the horror comedy film franchise, Ash vs. Evil Dead, it was announced Monday. Original Evil Dead director Sam Raimi, producer Rob Tapert and star Bruce Campbell will return for the 10-episode half-hour series, slated for a 2015 premiere.

Campbell reprises his role as the title character Ash, a stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last three decades avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons

This is great news! There's not enough old-man heroes around nowadays. Dudes in their 50's are some of the toughest guys around and everyone writes them off because they're too old to be a professional athlete.

Being a kick-ass hero ain't all physical y'know. It takes brains, savvy, experience, and a big ol' glass of "I don't give a fuck" which is definitely an edge the old dudes have over young guys.

A guy I used to work with went to a comic con panel, and Campbell was there. Apparently he was extremely vulgar and hilarious.

This excites the shit outta me. Should be awesome!
