As a McGregor fan, I try to stay humble but your fighter talks too much.

No, I don't but...

News flash

McGregor did not deserve his LW title shot.
How did he not deserve it? He DESTROYED the champ.
It wasn't a fluke win where he was underestimated.
The proof is in the pudding.

Zero defenses of his own title which wasn't even unified, an interim FW champ sitting there ready and waiting to unify and zero wins at LW. That title shot was gifted to him because he sells PPVs and he wanted it, plain and simple.

Did every fighter at LW who was capable of beating Alvarez deserve a title shot regardless of their wins and losses in the division? There will just about always be fighters in the division who are a bad match up for the champ. But if those fighters are unable to climb the ladder to the top by beating the other contenders, then they don't deserve a title shot even if they can beat the champ.

Being able to defeat the champ doesn't mean that you deserve a title shot. It isn't just about the destination, the journey is a big, difficult part of it as well.
