the one that i distinctly laughing the most about is how in gears of war, after downing a dude who was talking mad shit, i grabbed him how the game lets you use a meat shield. my buddy got in front of him and he both sandwiched his character lmao
 
Lol this thread is still going? I actually don't really understand the outrage. Do you guys feel like your identity as a "true gamer" is diminished by this? Because I wasn't just pissed that I scrolled past over 100 new posts since the last time I was here's and there were no new boob pics

If its not "real" then why not? Maybe its not full on pissed off mode, but more of an annoyance. Its similar in MMA gyms when a gym hero that never fights tries to wreck all the newer inexp. guys (while avoiding better fighters ASAP) and goes off telling people he's a fighter, and shapes his identity over it.

Yeah, the guys on Twitch are the real deal and the girls fucking suck for the most part and mainly get views because they're at least moderately attractive and maybe have a little personality too. Shit, I can't blame them though, they're getting paid like porn stars without actually having to take it up the ass and get blasted in the face. If my daughter asked me about doing porn, I'd tell her "Fuck you! Get a Twitch account instead, you dumb bitch!"

Why ANY GUY would feel personally offended and or outraged that some gamer girls use their looks to make $$$ is beyond me...

If said gamer girls are actually good gamers is fucking IRRELEVANT because as you said, they aren't literally "whoring" themselves out for money, they are taking advantage of horny losers who pay to look at them on a screen.

Look at PewDiePie for example... He is a TRUE attention whore, but...he is fucking RICH. Mind you, he's annoying as fuck, but good for him in terms of being exceedingly wealthy.

Yeah. I was actually thinking of PewDiePie while making my post, although I didn't mention him. He fucking sucks at gaming, but relies on his mic skills to get by. Somewhat similar to what girls do with their looks and whatnot. Guy's getting paid like a TV star off of it. Good for him.

The point wasn't that they are wrong for doing it, the point is that they cant find an audience in the gaming community based on their gaming content because there aren't any (inb4 5% exception) real female gamers. The reason why, basically all the female twitch streamers are a pair of tits, is because there aren't any willing to do it via the normal way. The ones that dont have the looks 99% dont even bother trying because they dont like it enough.

I dunno man, to me it's like getting mad when you see some hot chick in a tied up football Jersey for not knowing much about football. It's really not important if she's hardcore about it, but the culture appeals to them in some ways and I'm sure they're at least casual gamers

Variables ABOUND, whereas you are painting things with broad strokes.

There are many HOT GIRL GAMERS who choose not to be seen because they think it's gross to be objectified; my gf is among them.

Just as there are many HOT GIRLS who would never even consider being a bikini barista even though they could make $$$

And to reiterate what I said earlier in this thread, not all girl gamers should be sullied just because of the attention seeking ones who are obviously using their looks to get by.

I didn't miss the point. I just added my own points, which is what people typically do while discussing things. ;)
 
I think a lot of women play games more out of boredom or wanting to fit in, which is probably true of guys too, but the %s are different. I know a lot of girls who like to "game," but really just play CoD when they're high. I think you need a more diverse portfolio to be a gamer, or at least be hyper good at that one game. Which they aren't, generally speaking.

It's so bizarre, most of the discussion has no relevance to the intial question in the title. Half of it is people ranting about female twitch streamers which has absolutely nothing to do with normal gamer girls that people were originally discussing. To be fair though the people who have gotten hung up on that bizzarely off topic angle are better than the strange people who have no qualms with dealing outrageously generalisng statements about 50% of the worlds population.
 
There are girl gamers, I've played with a bunch in games where you had to find servers. On the other hand I've seen very little women when playing games that had match making. Maybe that's a big reason why people think there aren't a lot of chicks playing because of the CoD style match making where there are no admins to ban or mute dickheads that are all over match making type games. I play Dota quite a bit and its not uncommon to go several games in a row where there is just one toxic player ripping on their team the entire game.
