Are there any professional sports where a world-class manlet can excel at against bigger opponents?

Horse Jockeys don’t count as they compete against other manlets. Olympic weight lifting comes to mind. I think manlets actually have an advantage here. Probably gymnastics as well. You can pretty much rule out the following:

Football
Basketball
Baseball
Hockey
Boxing/MMA

I’m on the fence with soccer and tennis.

this young kid with Ronaldo is pretty good

Tyreek Hill is listed at 5'10" and that is stretching it and has been clocked as basically the fastest NFL player of all time. I actually met him and Travis Kelsey (6'6") and Tyreek looked like a midget next to him. I'd say in reality Tyreek is 5'9, tops.

It's called professional wrestling so I guess it counts?

In hockey size isn't as important as other major sports. In today's hockey smaller faster>bigger slower at forward. Goalies these days are turning into trees though.

Debatable if arm wrestling is a class A pro sport or whatever nonsense but he crushed bigger opponents routinely.

John was a beast, although I think he lost a few times to Big Daddy Goodridge back in the day. There are some interesting videos of current arm wrestling champ Devon Larratt going against powerlifters, NFL players etc. here is a video from ESPN arm wrestling former defensive end Marcellus Wiley. Marcellus uses both hands and still stands zero chance lol.

His combine stats list him at 5' 8 1/8".

The top goal scorers last season NHL are all pretty large. Only Kucherov is listed below 6ft.

True, I guess I am mixing overall size with just pure height. According to this the average NHL player height is on par with the other big leagues (minus NBA of course) but it's average weight is down.

Darts, Billiards?

Anything not combat related really. But even then, there are levels of skill.

edit: of course there are exceptional humans that don't fit the mold. But certain sports reward certain physiques. I guess you should clarify your question. Are you looking for examples of manlets succeeding in a big man's sport? (e.g. Steve Nash - not a manlet really, but certainly pretty small by basketball standards)

yeh, NFL, and MLB have more breaks so they can pack on more added muscle. They dont have to worry about cardio. Hockey, though you have to move for your whole shift. You dont want to be as heavy as possible because you will gas faster.

Sorry but taller wide receivers are better. Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Antonio Brown, Gronk, etc.

While I think taller guys have the advantage of the high ball, manlets have excedeed too in a time with toughter rules.

In Euro football it's an advantage to have a low center of gravity and the ability to accelerate quickly if you are playing certain positions. Messi has left hundreds of big defenders in the dust over the years.

In road cycling and long distance running it's an advantage not to be too big and heavy for obvious reasons.

I'd imagine most sports involving weapons make size irrelevant - archery, skishooting etc. I have a friend who does a sort of viking-style fighting sport in my country and apparently a crew of little guys wielding spears are widely feared and respected.

Tennis is mostly medium sized guys, interestingly. The big guys don't reach the pinnacle and the smaller guys don't seem to stay there long.

But even basketball has got people like Isaiah Thomas.

What is the viking style fight sport?

Regardless, in the NFL a world class manlet can excel against bigger opponents. That is clear to me. I didn't even talk about QBs, corners, and barely broached the RBs

QBs actually need to be tall to be able to look over the linemen in front of him.

There are exceptions but those are that ... exceptions, height is actually a requirement of the position, the shortest current QB is Russel Wilson and he is 5,11.

Well, it's basically a mix between historical reenactment and fighting with weapons. The guys make costumes and weapons that have to be based on archeological digs in Scandinavia, they meet up to train with the weapons a few times a week (they are actual weapons, though not sharpened, so the rules are no hits to the face and to swing with little power - if you get hit you are "dead"). Three or four times a year they travel as a group to viking markets around Europe, where they live as viking travellers for a few days and fight other groups from different countries.

It sounds like a lot of fun, though time consuming. My friend kinda turned his life around when he joined them.
