Are MMA tournaments still allowed in the U.S.?

Depends on the Athletic Commission I suppose.

I know some smaller shows still try to put them on.

They can only fight 5 rounds night. So they could do a 4 man tournament. (2 round fight and then 3 round final)

Right. I believe (if memory serves me correctly) that it's 25 or 30 minutes per night max? so K-1 can have more 3 minute rounds per night, making tourney's easier.

However, Zuffa UFC had some shitty luck with tourneys and I think were uninterested....WME prop doesn't even know they can do them
