Yes- I need to break down and get a part time job on the weekends- I'm broke and poor and I am in debt up to my A hole. I own my own business and run it M-Th, but things are slow and people that owe me $$$ aren't paying their bill's, which means luv24nic8 can't support his humble family- Now I'm getting desperate and need to find another source of income-

Lowe's is hiring in my town, and I saw a flyer that said they are hiring immediately for part time shifts- Fri- Sun-- I just submitted an app online- Anyone work there? How is it? It'll be a nice change just doing mindless busy work instead of having to be a salesperson all the time.

Yes I'm poor- and I'm a few day's away from doing ghey porn- I'm surprised my wife and kid haven't abandoned ship yet - but I don't want to give up and file bankruptcy, although it's sounding better and better each day-

Help me sherbros' - Your my only hope.

I almost worked there but they wanted me in the back running a fork lift during the mornings when I'd need to be in school.

They seemed super cool for the most part; but like any minimum wage gig they're going to work you for those 8-10 hour shifts. On the plus side you'll meet new people.

damn, sucks that you need to work part-time. i don't know much about lowe's. from a distance, it seems pretty relaxed. maybe if you're a stocker, it would suck having to pick up all that heavy shit and put it on the shelves. i like the smell of lumber, so if you're like that as well, that would be a plus. can't think of anything else.

Start practicing ignoring customers, chit chatting with other employees, and giving uniformed advice and you'll have a leg up when they hire you.

Not worth it after taxes bro. Better off waiting tables ata nice spot or bar tending. More cash

Hopefully you don't end up loading mulch bags into old people's cars and trucks for 8 hours straight. It's spring time. Their outdoor section gets busy.

They seemed way more laid back than home depot. Home Depot wanted you to bust your ads and then some from minimum wage. Then after a month of that they would bust your hours down to 17 a week. You had to bust ass for a long time to get bumped up t full time. They didn't want anyone other than management at full timr

They would talk shit on Lowe's and say everyone there was lazy. They wanted to run them out of business. Talked about it during orientation.

Hearing about Lowe's during orientation made me think I should've applied there instead. More laid back.

As a consumer though, I go to home Depot because they have to help you. They can get in trouble if they aren't. Hours 2-5(?) Everyone has to be on the floor helping customers.

This pretty much covers exactly what they want in an employee.

my friend got fired from there because he operated a fork lift without a "spotter" or guy to help him back up.

apparently they are no nonsense about that.

Home Depot is the same way.
