The PC game based on the AD&D Module

Tabletop game.

This game totally went by me.
I read that it is pretty strict following the D20 system, and you have to use common sense.
Shooting arrows at skeletons is not very effective.

Sounds like fun to me, compared to bashing the mouse Diablo style.

Is it worth checking out?

It's cool for what it is. An absolutely perfect adaptation of the core rules and the module. There's still more and modding for it as well.

It's not without certain drawbacks. Playing a couple encounters makes you realize why Bioware opted to input its real time with pause combat. Even fighting a couple giant frogs can take you 15 minutes. I seem to remember you missed your attacks an overwhelming amount of the time.

But, it's still a cool rpg romp. Being faithful to the module means there's several ways events and even the outcome of the game can go.

Haha
Killing a couple of frogs for fifteen minutes is funny.

Thanks for the great summary.

I will have to try it out

There's a mod that reinstates some cut content and bug fixes. Don't recall the name but I'm sure a search will bring it up.

Awesome, thanks

I think the mod is called circle 8 modpack for Elemental Evil.

You need to community patch. The game is broken with out it. Fun game though.
