Chael is a warrior man. He took bombs from Fedor and came back up and even took Fedor down. He tagged him once or twice as well. I was impressed at how much he survived after taking that much punishment. I know he lost but it really shows that he was a high level fighter.

I respect chael for his effort but Fedor with this win has reestablished order in mma. Much respect to both.

Not gonna lie....a little. He got floored hard in the first 5 seconds and kept moving forward. He eventually quit but lasted longer than I expected.

I gained some respect for him actually. He still hasn't been KO'ed in his career. He ate some massive shots and didn't go out. There was one point early where found was pounding him and he was turtling up. He was about to give up like he tends to do but then hung in there.

He did get Fedor down a few times, had full mount briefly and his back. He had his moments. He was nothing but respectful to Fedor behind the scenes.

I was surprised to see him keep going after the initial knockdown if Im being honest, I thought he was gonna turtle up and quit then.

He quit again like he always does. He just covers up and asks for the ref to stop it

Well he actually did about 4 mins later. Just turtles up for no reason so that the ref stops it after several weak GnP from Fedor.

Dude quits everytime he faces someone he cant dryhump

I thought he looked good but his chin is really starting to fail him it seems. His style has always consisted of taking many hard shots just to get inside and clinch or get the take-down. It worked well for him because of his iron chin but not so much anymore...

I hope he continues fighting. One thing you have to give credit to Chael for is that he always eats his humble pie and owns the losses. He never makes excuses.

I like Chael. He is slippery with his speech and talks too much strash for my taste but I still like him.

Not really and I don't Big John was on a junk either. Big John gave the impression he pulled an Anderson Silva again but he got his ass thoroughly kicked. Even Chael admitted it in the interview.

Cheal is there because of his mike skills and promos. Ridiculous he was even in the tourney instead of Kongo.

Talks at up as always but he showed fear of Fedors power before and during the fight. One he knew he couldnt hold Fedor down and was going to have to take shots for 15 minutes to have a chance to earn a decision he bailed out, covering and taking some more hits then tapping to the punches.
Not sure what he was trying to do with that somersault either.
Other than that, he did come back well from the heavy knockdown shot to the face so credit for surviving early, and he pulled of a nice ankle pick. But honestly he had no chance in this fight and no business being in there, beating other mw/lhw's to fight fedor.

*yawn* Same old talking points over and over.

This tourney is full of non HW, why do you need to single Chael out so much?

He was able to keep Rampage down, and Rampage is a guy who had a hard time staying at 205 lbs. Even Bisping, being a former training partner and friend of Rampage, was impressed and shocked that Chael got takedown after takedown and never lost dominant position against him.

He completely shut Wanderlei down. Wanderlei had nothing for him.

He earned his spot in the tourney. Let's not act like this tourney is filled with the best of the best. Bellator is growing, and has lots of growing to do.

    What do you mean?
Impressed that he barely survived to the end of the 1st round?
