When you say gamer I assume you mean video gamer, but I don't know of any video games that people bet on besides the big eSports.

I use to bet on NBA LIVE on PS2 against my black friends when I was in high school

It was the only way I could beat them in basketball

Are you talking about money matches?

I used to play SSB: Melee hardcore. On the local tournament circuit. Often had money matches for fun at "fests" (where people would party and play Melee and other fighting games). Won more than I lost.

I've done money matches for COD games and Gears of War 1v1s.

Kind of. At school we uses to have 4 man street fighter alpha tournaments. Losers bough lunch for the winner the following day.
