Sorry but Phil Davis offensive MMA wrestling is just not that good.

There are certain guys who come to MMA with top wrestling cred but that wrestling just does not translate and that is because their style in the wrestling world was more defensive and counter fighting than offense and forcing their game. While you can be a top fighter in wrestling with that style, because your opponent is forced to attack you, in MMA the opponents can just hang back and not engage and thus create a very boring fight.

Rich Clementi is arguably a natural LW out wrestled Rumble and yet choked him out. Rumble who is a guy who needs to watch his weight at LHW.

Bro! Rumbled weighed in at 177 for that fight, he was literally killing himself for that fight. If Clementi tried to cut down 3 weight classes, I don't think he'll look that good either.
