Make something up that could be easily refuted? Keep grasping at straws.

Only if Bourdain responds saying that what Rogan says is not true. Which I don't think he has. He probably was joking.

No I said Rogan is a trophy BJJ BB. If he's not than why doesn't he have any clips of himself rolling with equal ranked BJJ players? Or anyone full resistance?
It's humiliating that the only clip he has of testing himself is against a "challenger" with zero training he knew he could beat on camera from MySpace-Like how long ago was that relevant?
Where's all the footage of this bad ass MMA expert Joe Rogan?
Where's all the proof of what he says day in and day out?
Why's he roided to the gills if there is no point other than to boost his little weak ego?
Rogan is a fraud, we've all seen them, we've all had to train with them till we paid our dues and got better then them and they avoid us till we see how they're treating the new students and go over to intervene.
Rogan has all of the qualities of
    the classic pathetic Gym bully.

Jesus the comments, pseudo psychological assessments and accusations towards Rogan are just odd.

He trains hard, not strange, so what?

A lot of black belt level techniques feel malicious and intentionally hurtful, but thats just what real rolling feels like against someone good.

I agree that's probably the case.

IMO this whole belt thing in martial arts is ridiculous. Let's say you earn a black belt but then just stop training and proving yourself. Are you still a "black belt" after say 5, 10 years out?

I think combat sports should be about constantly proving and testing yourself through COMPETITION not just hanging some belt on the wall and pose with it. Unless it's an actual title belt you earned by actually beating legit competition. I like the boxing mentality "the only belts that matter are the title belts".

Yup, you're only as good as your last 3 month training camp. So when I go back to training after my surgery, I'm wearing my WB till I get the nod from my chief instructor.

WB BJJ I only train when I'm doing a 3 month camp for Judo to add 12pm conditioning classes and rolling to standing training in the evening. That way I get 4hrs training in a day on top of the cardio and flexibility workouts in the early morning. Someday I'll train formally and climb the ladder but I don't see the practical advantage of only training on the ground unless it's with a world renowned teacher.

Lol, if a few years of wrestling means your rag dolling people in no time either you're busy having gym wars with white belts or you're at a gym with no talent.

Though honestly your post seems more like an opportunity to say, I tap people than to discuss the issue.

5'6 is tiny, can't be. He must wear those mad heel shoes like Tom Cruise / Downey Jr.

If he was a good freestyle wrestler that would give him a huge advantage not only in strenght but agility, body control and speed on the ground. I do believe him. Its just that 3 years wrestling is not much and in general you start as a kid. 3 years would not give you that much of an advantage. Maybe if he started at a late age like 15.
