Bernie is the only high profile person on the left to not running around screaming Russia is to blame for the election loss. After the election Bernie has been saying the republicans won because they spoke to the working class.

Sounds to me like the democrats don't like him going against their narrative with the truth, so they use their attack wing (the media) to discredit him. I have a very realistic view of racism, both on the left and the right. The idea that racism is more prevalent on the right is wishful thinking (or perhaps projection) from the left.

The right's view (best articulated by that magnificent liberal Martin Luther King) is that people should be treated as individuals and policies should be colorblind. They of course can't live up to such an ideal standard perfectly. It is beyond human nature to do so. The alt right seems to buy into an ethnic nationalism similar in many respects to that of the left.

The left's view is that race is the single most important characteristic any person can have, far more important than sex or individual opinion. So even though a man can become a woman, a white woman can never truly become a black woman. And regardless of the uniqueness of a person's point of view, being both white and male mainly means they should listen rather than speak. Policies should not be colorblind, because colorblind policies simply cement the oppression of people of color by the white majority.
