i watched bunch of youtube conspiracy videos and i dont know what to believe anymore i'm so confused...

Several years ago I read a lot of books which referenced the ancient sumerian lore involving them.

There were some interesting points brought up, pertaining to how advanced the civilization in that region was (seemingly out of nowhere) with regards to their laws, architecture/engineering, astronomy knowledge, etc.
The more far-fetched stuff about how the planet the annunaki supposedly came from passes through this solar system every 3600 years made me a bit incredulous though. The stuff about the genetic engineering seems more plausible; humans are a really bizarre species, which can't really be explained within the traditional confines of mainstream "evolutionary" theory.

The trouble is that translations of ancient Sumerian vary so much. Sitchin was almost certainly a fraud, but that doesn't make the whole thing a lie. Something kick started the civilization in Mesopotamia almost out of nowhere.
