Saw The Tale of Princess Kaguya yesterday and it was excellent. The art and animation might be the best I've seen out of Ghibli. Especially liked the emotionally driven tracking shots.
Another thing I liked is the movie's detailed depiction of old Japanese social customs and how well it was implemented as a pivotal part of the story and character development. There's also a strong theme of conflict between social assimilation and self identity.
