that's awesome but obviously he won't win.. nor should he honestly, as good as he is. people like jordan and gretzsky are more significant in a larger pool of athletes

edit: but i'm voting for him anyway :)

edit2: lol it's done in bracket format.. that's retarded hahaha

It's kinda insane that Silva made it on a list like this when considering how young MMA is compared to some of these other sports. Testament to his greatness.

Anderson should have lost to Karelin in the opening round.

    Anderson carrying that mma flag!

    I voted for you!

Sadly I think bo Jackson wins, which is kind of dumb.

Super cool that a UFC champ is on that poll. Good exposure, unfortunately AS has no chance of winning that poll.

    Thanks TS.

Silva should win this, but wont because MMA just doesn't have the following it deserves, especially with ESPN and it's followers. Anderson is by far, the best ever in MMA and the greatest athlete alive today... and it's a shame it will not be recognized by most sports fans.

His description includes 'numerous UFC and Pride belts', lol.

Voted for him, but he isn't going to win, not enough people are aware of his greatness.

I believe they recognize him "holding" the Pride belt after his unification fight with Henderson. I know Rampage got a belt for winning his unification fight, Silva most likely got one too.

They all came from different brackets. IIRC Anderson's bracket (martial arts excluding boxing) had Gable, Karelin, Royce and GSP or Jones so he shouldn't have won even that.

because if silva did do as good in pride i would voted for him but because he only was really succesful in UFC there are many other fighters i rather nominate but this misinformation is so big that it could catapult silva into winning the poll
