Anderson has a higher striking accuracy AND a higher takedown accuracy than GSP

Judging by this, he's been warned about it and rightfully should be. Threads like this are why this forum has degenerated to a complete cesspool most of the time.

More like why some of the mods of this forum are complete shite. Banning folks because they got triggered over something completely meaningless.

Also, a thread backed up by numbers contributes to the forum becoming a cesspool how? GSP fans be mad lmao.

Anderson's TDD was never as bad as most people claim around here.

Anderson only got such a high TDD from fighting Leites and Cote who spammed TD's all day.

When Maia fought Woodley, Tyron's TDD went up like 15%

Anderson's TDD against anyone half decent at wreslting isn't good. Sonnen took Anderson down in the first fight and he never got up. Literally Anderson's amazing run is primarily against fighters that suited is style. A whole bunch of 1D BJJ guys (Lutter, Leites, green Maia), brawlers (Cote, Leben, Irvin) and jack of all trades but hardly elite fighters (Sonnen, Marquardt, Okami). The decent fighters he beat were Vitor at MW after a long layoff. Hendo after a loss, and Rich.

Weidman was the first well rounded wreslter with a solid BJJ game and that could actually strike a bit.

GSP was much more well rounded, that anyone he fought he could complete with that skillset and beat them wherever they were weakest

Sample sizes matter bud. Perhaps you should consider that. A sample size of 3 is not comparable to a sample size in the 80's. Striking, sure. Anderson clearly has always had terrific striking. But it's very obvious that was not the intention of this thread when reading the direction the ts took.

GSP has looked better post USADA than he ever did but the same can't be said for Anderson.

where is the failed drug test percentages ?

I think Anderson is racist .. He always beat the shit out of the white guys with such furious anger !! (Samuel L's voice)

holy sh...

Anderson = 78% takedown accuracy
GSP = 74% takedown accuracy

Anderson = 63% striking accuracy
GSP = 53% striking accuracy

The thing I was most surprised by was the fact that there isn't a huge difference in their takedown defense percentage, despite opponents shooting on Anderson far more frequently and desperately because he so dangerous on the feet, plus it was part of their gameplans as well.

Anderson = 69% takedown defense
GSP = 83% takedown defense

Hmmmm

What's wrong with your brain?

Ô Alex, Where Art Thou? lmao

It's not surprising Anderson Silva has a really high percentage of TDs landed, since no one was ever expecting him to even try one and they were all focusing exclusively on his striking.

Obviously a ridiculous comparison, come on. Silva landed 3 takedowns in his entire UFC career. GSP landed 83.

Your Fightmetric stats rely on 18 additional fights of Silva's before he came to the UFC, and only 6 more outside the UFC for GSP.
I'm glad you found these bc I assumed the same thing.

Who did Anderson take down in the UFC?

I can't honestly remember him ever doing one.
