AMC's INTO THE BADLANDS (Season 3 Premiering April 22, 2018)

I am watching it. It isn't deep but still watchable. I think as they introduce the other barons, etc it will improve.

Have you watched all the episodes yet? The storyline seems to be getting more and more complex as the season progresses. Starting to like it more, minus the wannabe Coral.

Yeah I'm current, finished episode 5.
It's beautifully shot imo. It will evolve and very more complex and intriguing with time.

Awesome finale. Quinn may have led MK to the ambush to do his bidding on the defector Ryder and Baron Jacobee/Zepher. Probably caught wind of it the past few days of the brewing storm hence the metaphor, 'the changing smell of the air before the lightning strike,' he explained to MK. Nice little subtle foreshadow.

Damn, I hate to see a certain demise. The character was too dastardly appealing to write out just like that. Kind of hack way to go. Almost kind of renders many of the plot points moot.

Again, fight scene (Cung Le!) was sublime if u r into Wuxia/Wire Fu. Just loved it. Damn, Next season is how long from now?

Nice to see Cung Le, come out for some fun.

I think it was something more along the lines of a fishing expedition.

He deliberately went to town with a single Colt as escort knowing that someone was bound to make a move on such an easy target. He wasn't surprised it turned out to be Jacobee, but Ryder's presence caught him off guard.

Great finale.
Nice to see Cung Le make his appearance.
From what the widow said, is Sunny also another one of those people, since he, MK, and the Widow are apparently from the same place? Plus, it took the monks turning into beast mode and almost forming like Voltron to beat Sunny.
Didn't like how Quinn went out. His demise was too anti-climatic, dude deserved an epic fight scene and death.
Not a fan on how Sunny saved Ryder either. He should've let MK finish him off.

Call me crazy, but I don't think Quinn is dead yet. He was stabbed in the gut, but then the camera immediately cut away from a full death scene. Plus, they made the point to show the doctor/Sunny's lover looking at all the bodies lying around. And she was trusted Quinn more than she did Sunny. I think she may save Quinn's life.

I hope it get renewed for a 2nd season. The ratings went to hell after the Walking Dead had its mid-season finale. Maybe they'll air its entire 2nd season next to the Walking Dead's?

It was a short season and now I have to wait another year at minimum to see more? I was just getting into it! Also what happens if it's not renewed and I'm left with that cliff hanger.... My OCD will not accept that.

Actually, the ratings aren't too bad. In line with dropoffs for other shows that AMC did that premiered after TWD.
BCS and FTWD also saw massive ratings drop once it lost TWD lead in.

Good one. That was one WEAKASS way to go a la Glenn. Quinn (saved)/Jacobee (hidden in the building)/Zephyr are prob still alive - most of the bodies were clippers/subordinates.

This. ratings went according to ideal projection and with that it's still possible that it'd be canceled but highly improbable that it will.

That would be kind of sad considering that if anyone knows how to kill another man, it would be Sonny.
Personally i think Quinn is dead. Not too sure about Jacoby and his regent.

I hope it comes back. The storyline is interesting enough to keep my attention, and the fight choreography is some of the best that we've seen on TV. I really dug the fight with the monks at the end.

I'm watching the season finale as I type this.

Just realized Cung Le was in it.

Quinn gets the Glenn award for Worst TV Death That You Just Know Isn't a Death But They Want You to Think is a Death death.

I enjoyed this season on the whole. I think it got progressively better (though MK isn't a very good actor). I think the season finale did a good job of bringing all the developments together and then setting up story hooks for the next season.

I liked the finale. Wheelchair guy being the traitor, didn't see that coming.

Decent show but I'll be pretty bummed if it isn't renewed.
