AMC's INTO THE BADLANDS (Season 3 Premiering April 22, 2018)

Just watched it on the DVR. Eh, it was ok. Though the editing seemed disjointed. Maybe not enough establishing shots? It sort of felt like it had to be chopped down from a 1.5hr premiere or something like that. I'll give it a few more episodes to see where it goes.
 
I thought it was solid. Will tune in again.
 
acting is horrible but the martial arts porn will keep me watching for now
 
I enjoyed the premiere episode. Solid action scenes, and the story is slowly unraveling to be pretty interesting. Like others have said the acting was exactly top notch. I didn't think it was too horrible though. Can't say for sure yet but I think Sunny's character is supposed to be super dry and emotionless.
 
Anyone see this yet?

The action is pretty damn good. It has elements of kung fu wire work mixed with raw John Wick-style brutality.

As for the show proper, I wouldn't call it campy, but something about it seems a little... I don't even have the word for it. Whatever it is, it isn't necessarily bad. I enjoy the series, there's no question. Also, the teenager subplot seems interesting.
 
The first half was pretty cool with all the action sequences and gory finishes. The second half was so-so. But you are right, something feels a bit off with the 2nd half. Might be the pacing. Will watch future episodes to see.

I wanted to see more of Sarah Bolger too!
 
action scenes were pretty cool, liked that final fight scene in the rain.
acting isn't bothering me in the least, as long as the plot isn't awful. seems interesting, especially with that kid and his beast mode.
 
Here's hoping it doesn't become as bad as bastard executioner.
 
I enjoyed the first 20 minutes waiting for the TWD preview, but then I went to bed.

Sonny is a MichonneDarylGlennMorgan amalgamation.
 
Didn't watch, but from the previews it gave me the feel it's campy enough that if it were a movie it could make it as a cult classic. One of those things that you either love or hate.

If people that like this kind of thing don't support it, it goes away.
 
Pretty cool so far. As others have mentioned, the acting was flat.
 
Quite enjoyed it. The action scenes were awesome.
 
It was alright. I don't think it's something I'll follow.
 
Finally saw the first episode. Enjoyed it. Love the martial arts scenes. Surprised at the brutality of the fight in the opening.

Excluding the fight scenes, it was nothing special. I'll follow it for now.
