Promoter Lou DiBella told ESPN on Tuesday that he is in negotiations to match junior featherweight titlist Amanda Serrano (33-1-1, 25 KOs), 28, a Brooklyn, New York-based Puerto Rican, against unified junior welterweight titleholder Ana Laura Esteche (13-4-3, 2 KOs), 26, of Argentina. DiBella said Serrano would move all the way up to 140 pounds to challenge Esteche for her three world title belts if they can finalize the deal for a fight that would take place in October or November in the United States. DiBella said it would be televised on Showtime. Serrano has already won world titles at bantamweight, junior featherweight, featherweight, junior lightweight and lightweight. No female fighter has won titles in six weight divisions.
