Almost a year since WME purchased the UFC, Do you think it was worth the price tag?

WME only overpaid by a couple billion tbh. Is normal.
I think they're get it back long term. There's 9 billion people in the world and some small percentage of them will always be willing to pay to watch dudes beat the fuck out of each other . Or wmmma broads slap and tickle

It was the perfect time to sell considering all three of their biggest stars are out. There's no guarantee Jon Jones won't get in trouble again before July.

It helps when you actually know how to run a fight promotion. Dana must be phoning it in these days if they kept him on as president and the UFC has been fucking things up left and right.

I hope things get worse and something drastic happens. The status quo is absolute shit. The product is shit. The excitement factor is gone.

If the viewership continues to decline they are not going to get a better deal on a new tv contract. It's not that hard to figure out. Your orginal post, you implied WME could look forward to a more lucrative deal, not going to happen if the trend continues. I think you don't have a clue.
the UFC are looking to reduce the number of PPVs, the next TV deal will probably have an agreement to show certain fighters that have a high profile. When you're showing 2 girls who don't weigh 160lbs soaking wet and it's drawing 4.8 million viewers on FOX I'm sure with a bit of negotiating they'll be just fine. This isn't black and white you fucking retard, ratings go up and down all the time.

I know you're praying for the downfall of WME and the UFC but you're gonna be waiting along time, sorry loser.

How much sand is in your vagina? Constant name calling makes your opinion look petty. That was last year btw. I actually want the ufc to do good. Just think the match making and the way they go about doing certain things is bad and it looks like I'm right by their declining viewership. TUF also had the lowest viewership in the history of the show. LOL

It's worth more. WME are just doing a shit job.

To put things in perspective. Aussie rules. A sport played only in Australia has a bigger billion dollar deal in a country with just over 23 million.

The UFC are primarily American with a huge market and global reach.

No and they made it even worse by turning it into a cricus instead of a sport.

Would you put your money on the UFC in the current landscape? I know I wouldn't.
How can you say that without seeing one balance sheet?

You are receiving financial information second-hand, you would never invest in something without looking at the financials.

The Fertitas absolutely clowned those nerds @ WME.

Some Italian American mobster casino bosses just sold a depreciating product to some marketing nerds for 4 fucking billion.

They built the UFC from scratch, made a tonne of dough from it, then sold it when they took it as far as it could go, for way over the odds.

Take a bow Lorenzo.

I respect the mans hustle.
Lorenzo is such a boss. He just always wins in the game of life.

But the UFC could also get these deals as FOX and BT Sports broadcast rights are almost at their ends?

I think there's enough interest to keep it afloat, but definitely not worth 4 billion. The Emanuel Clan will realize within the next year that they were ripped-off.

I get what you are trying to say, but there is no "rip-off:.
Many successful combinations of businessmen looked over UFC's financials & felt the company was worth similar to what WME bid.
Fox are partners & offered $3.5b.

It isn't like Lorenzo made stuff up to Ari lol

Heck ari is Dana's agent & WME brokered the last Fox deal.

Just goes to show how successful La Famiglia Fertitta was at fluffing up their product, IMO.

Constant name calling emphasises the point I'm making, YOU'RE RETARDED. You say last year I say less than 5 months ago, it's all about your preference. Conor and Ronda aren't the only assets to the UFC.

Truth is, I don't know shit about business on this level. I thought it was way too much a year ago and I still think it's too much. I believe Fox Sports did a losing 3.6 billion offer, so I guess 4 billion is sorta normal in that world. I just don't see how they will ever make a profit on such a huge investment. But I guess they must have at least a 5-10 year plan for investments like this.
Take away Conor and Ronda and what do you have left in star power? Till now they haven't convinced me on creating new stars.
