Alvarez beat RDA the champ which matters more than having a high win streak against guys outside the Top 10. Al was just starting to fight Top 10 guys after being away from the sport for 2 years. Also Alvarez recently beat Poirier and Gaethje which are both tough match ups for Al.
Anyway. Kebab fighting a Top 15 guy for the belt and acting like he is something other than a paper champ is hilarious. He loses to Kevin Lee, Conor, Tony, etc. and he is ducking 170 which is his natural weight class.

Conor last fight was in 2016 for godsakes. Hes been ducking Khabib for 2 years. The champion who wasnt even the best in the division. He fought for the title coming off two split decision people didnt even think he won.

Eddie fought for the belt coming off two controversial split decision. Noone even consider him the best in division when he won the belt. Than he got knocked silly in his first defense. Eddie would of had the worst LW title reign in UFC history if Conor didnt take the number 1 spot. Both were horrible LW champions.

2) 155 belt is shit, Conor won the belt and got stripped for inactivity because he became a boxer.
3) 170 belt is shit, GSP retired and left the division.
4) 185 belt is shit, GSP came back and beat the champ then vacated.
5) 205 belt is shit, Jon J. got stripped and Cormier never beat him.
6) 225+ belt legit because Stipe beat the champ at the time.
When will people realize the belts really don't mean that much and it is all about what fight(s) will generate the highest amount of revenue for the organization?

I assume he's trying to be blase about Nurmagomedov fighting Conor. They clearly want the fight otherwise they wouldn't mention his name. Not so long ago, he was saying Conor needed to win fights to get a title shot, Nurmagomedov wanted to fight GSP, and now they're back to being open to fighting Conor - as if they have a say in the matter.
