Actually its growing, rapidly. Since 2016, there has been a major shift to the right for white millennial and the post millennial generation is likely to be the most conservative since WW2. As a moderate with some socialist sympathies, the democratic party is the most incompetent major political party I have ever seen. The racial divide in this country has never been bigger and the blame for it rests squarely on the socialists attempting to bank on fabricated minority angst. This is the beginning of the backlash to that and if the Democrats to make a radical shift in their strategy its going to go very badly for them.

because theres never any plan thats why. i dont quite get why americans in general dont support minimum wage but those guys support open boarders, figure that one out. you cant have minimum wage while encouraging low skill low wage workers from latin america.

australia university students in the past paid back the government when they earned over 52k (ill double check) the gov now wants their money regardless because alot are never paying back their debt.

bernie has ideas that sound reasonably sensible but i think america has missed that boat long ago.

the biggest issue isnt free education anyway its the price of going to these esteemed colleges. so rather than go down this route of "free everything" why not try and change the glaring problem of cost.

@Madmick You are right. The right screamed "Socialist!" for so long and so loudly that there is now a movement in their ranks that believes that Socialism is a viable solution for the future. They steered into the skids, and I think we will see a liberalization of the Democratic Party as a result of these folks' influence.

In the same vein, I think there are those on the left that screamed "Bigot!" for so long and so loudly that people steered into the skids on those issues as well, helping the Alt-Right formulate an identity. If everything is going to be called racist anyways, why show any restraint? It seems to be the fervent hatred of one another that is causing the increased polarity here, not the commitment to the ideas themselves.
