Alexa Grasso vs Tatiana Suarez. Does UFC know what they’re doing?

I think they are actually training to get some latin american fans hyped on Tatiana Suarez
Grasso is for the pure Mexicans. Suarez if for the Mexican Americans with penciled on eyebrows.

Let me preface, that I don’t even care for WMMA.

However, I was under the impression that UFC wanted to build a Latin American fanbase behind Alexa Grasso, then ends up pitting her up against Suarez who will probably strangle her?

I mean, at least Suarez will get the recognition but this further explains WME has no idea what they’re doing.

They clearly intend to force WMMA into the UFC but they can’t even do that shit correctly.
UFC used to throw every fighter into the deep end. Why is that wrong all of a sudden? Today they do both, build fighters and throw them to the wolfs. Do the UFC have to do the one or the other? Cant they do both without being blamed for not knowing what theyre doing?
Dunno much about wmma so I cant say if her opponent is a big step up or not.

I honestly believe that everyone stopped giving a fook about Grasso after her last two fights and the UFC knows she will never be a star.

Tatiana , on the other hand, has a possibility of becoming a 115 champion one day with her skillset. She is THE prospect in this division, so more people will care about her if she dominates Alexa.

I do care about WMMA and what the UFC is doing is the same thing they have always done and not give fighters an easy road. They match up prospects and let the cream rise to the top.

Not the smartest idea for promotions looking to build stars but as far as what's smart for sport and competition this is just fine.
Jones vs Bader and Rashad vs Bisping come to mind here as good example.

I actually like the match-up, & hope the UFC continues to stop protecting certain fighters just because they are marketable or from a particular area they are trying to get further established.

Latin America is not a country, so Latin Americans in reality give 2 fucks about other latins.

Yup, she has the most pretty face/smile of all mma roster.

She really does. It's one of those, if they push her too slowly then people will say she's protected and if they feed her to the wolves then the UFC is destroying her product. Sigh.

The sooner she loses, the sooner we see here doing GirlsDoPorn scenes. <3

Second loss for Alexa in the ufc. Tatiana is more than a prospect newb...
No she's a prospect and no matter how good we both think she'll eventually be, shes still a prospect until she successful against top competition. Rose Namajunes is no longer a prospect.

Edit: prospect-

a person regarded as likely to succeed or as a potential customer, client, etc.
In this case fighter.

If you really didn't care about wmma (like me), you wouldn't know who these chicks are

Dude she won TUF. She ain't no prospect. She will maul Alexa and anyone else and should be fighting for the belt soon.

Maybe UFC realized that they're wasting money on another pretty face who's mediocre at fighting and want to ditch her.

I agree she is really good, but i literally just gave you the definition of a prospect and your response is "she ain't no prospect." Lol. Every Champion in the UFC was at one point a prospect. Winning Tuf doesn't really mean shit. Diego Brandao and Colton Smith won TUF and they're not even in the UFC anymore.
