Airport killed a puppy because of delayed flight

Anyone that has had a dog get out of the house and refuse to go back in can understand this.
I used to live with my friend and he got a German Shepard puppy. He worked 1st shift I worked second so obviously I was home with her during the day and he was at night.
There was a couple times where the dog would get out when i opened the door and it was impossible to catch it. The yard has no fences but it wouldn't leave the front yard right before you grabbed it she would dash away then stare at you. I wanted to strangle the fucking thing.
All of this was compounded by the fact that I wanted to relax during the day before work but I had to basically look after a child.
