After reading the OP, would you hire a transgender woman?

You are a supervisor and will be working with the employee. You have been reviewing resumes and come across several candidates. You set up interviews, but really, you've decided on one candidate, pending a good interview. You've contacted references, all are shining. Work history is exemplary. Candidate is extremely qualified and you're excited to see what she can bring to the table.

In the interview, she does very well. She is professional, she is well groomed, she knows her stuff. She looks like this, and sounds somewhat like a man.

Your company has no discrimination policy. The decision is entirely up to you. I will offer three work scenarios for the position, but all of them require working with other employees and collaborating with them.

Scenario 1 : Entirely behind the scenes

The employee will not have contact with customers or the public, the position is entirely internal.

Scenario 2 : Mostly behind the scenes

The employee will have minimal contact with the public and customers, though it is still primarily an internal position.

Scenario 3 : Public and customer interaction is integral to the position

Not exactly the face of the company, but a fairly public position. Talking to customers and the public on a regular basis. Communicating with people outside the company is integral to the position.

Based on this, I'd hire her for the position she wanted or was most qualified. The rest doesn't matter.

Oh boy....

Yeah i would. If i was a manager i wouldnt give a shit if someone was a tranny or not. So long as they are qualified to do the job i dont see what the problem is. If employees or customers complained id basically tell them to fuck off/stop complaining in a professional manner

Theres this tranny at the local petsmart by me and holy shit, this bitch looks just like Brock Lesnar, if Brock had long blonde hair, boobs, and wore makeup

^^Same as doctortaco said. It also depends on the area and enviornment. Putting her out in public could cause problems in a athletic and explosive, redneck, or latino area. An upper class environment or an area with an openly gay community and it wouldn't be such a big deal.

Petsmart is out of the closet.

Picture looks fine, so I'd be alright with whatever position she/he was most qualified for.

I am against weird looking people, though. If you're gonna be a tranny, be a convincing one. Don't let me see hair on your back, cross your legs, all that jazz.

Where is the hire her for any position she wants/whatever position you were looking for option? If I worked in an area full of mentally challenged hate filled bigots, she might not be the best external worker, but I dont see myself ever working in an industry where I would constantly have to deal with those types of people.

Vote for all three.

Yep, I'd give her the job. We'd need girl talk about those sandals though.

All of the transgenders I grew up around were people I had already respected who eventually decided to transition, I have no reason to weigh it into my decisionmaking because it's just not weird to me anymore, which it definitely was when I was younger

If the person is qualified and capable of doing the job then I don't see the problem.

I'm pro-transgender, but that skirt's borderline unforgiveable. Shit looks biohazardous, like it violates the Geneva Convention. We'd need to talk wardrobe fo sho

All of the trannies ive seen person arent convincing at all. They have all looked similar to this

Any different than an ugly woman? Assuming she is pleasant, who cares?

If 'she' sounded like Bill Hader in 'Her' it might be a stretch to give them a position where they're in charge of public/customer relations. Other than that, I would hire them if they were qualified.
