After 11 years I'm done

Omfg.

EVERY SINGLE PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE IS ON PEDS. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.

There's no such thing as a natty pro athlete just like there's no such thing as a natty IFBB pro.
So how do you explain alot of fighters not looking the same after USADA? oh ya one of your favorite fighters is on peds so they all are

Actaully theres different levels to peds, look how juiced overeem was - I guess thats fair though since they're all on peds? lol retarded

I've been watching UFC since 2007 and I think this is the last straw. I really enjoyed watching the fights, but the last years with interim champs, popularity contests and USADA fiascos, I'm out.

The news of JBJ getting 18 months (retroactively) without proving it was a tainted supplement just put the final nail in the coffin. I know some people cheat and they always will, but doing this just undermined everything the UFC and USADA said they were doing. I dont want to follow such a "sport" anymore, I stopped watching boxing for similar reasons, fuck I might just start watching WWE as retarded as that is.

It's sad what this all has become, maybe I'm just growing older and out of it, but I feel so disappointed, that in the most pure physical competition we let such people off the hook. I got enough of that kind of shit in the real world, I don't need it in the sports I follow.

It was fun lurking on Sherdog for the past ten years, godspeed my friends, hope things turn out for the best.
15 months actually...

Every sport has it's cheaters, corruption, favoritism, and shadyness. It's the ying and the yang, you get the good and the bad. UFC, Pride FC, Bellator, have all had their moments and just like NFL, NHL, Boxing, Hell even fucking curling probably, will always have it's negatives. Just take a break from the sport for a while.

I'll still be watching, but the UFC has been zigging when it should have been zagging and it's probably too far gone to ever be what it could have been, disappointed is the correct word...

damn so many brainwashed fan boys. You guys want to watch a steroid sport go ahead, but I support this mans desire to exit. What kind of brainless people post on sherdog? Insulting and mocking somebody for saying steroids in sports is wrong, cheating is wrong. What kind of oppressive communities do you live in where its okay for the privelaged and succesful to cheat but when a small timer does it they deserve execution. Nonsenical people you are.

Quoted for extreme truth

Not everyone, just almost everyone.

For example Tom Brady prolly isn't but he deflates balls to win.
So still a cheat.

I just wish people do like you doing and stop watching news on TV

I agree. Other than watching Conor fight, I won't be buying any other UFC PPVs.

This whole Jones fiasco has been an exercise in weapons-grade naivety. People confident that justice would finally be served because of... their feelings? People saying "Cheaters never prosper" when human nature and history itself has shown the exact opposite. Embarrassing.

Hopefully this is an important life-lesson for many Sherdoggers.

Since the last 3-4 years I've become a casual

I watch the big cards, I watch fights on cable TV, I love to watch the reruns of cards I didn't see.

I'm a knowledgeable fan, I used to train for MMA and I do a lot of BJJ. I was following MMA a lot from 2007 to 2013 and I know most of the guys.

It's great to be a casual, you don't have the feeling that you need to follow everything, you can complain when it's boring and you keep more money in your pocket.

When there's a big card, you're like a bear coming out of hibernation, you go back to Sherdog to talk some smack, you follow everything on facebook, twitter, mma sites... Then you watch the card, you get reminded that most fights kind of sucks and there's nothing happening, just some wrestlers stalling on top or strikers that never commit. You also have the few flash of brightness that get you excited, but you still wonder why you stayed up until 1 AM to watch that shit.

Nobody gives a fuck. Bye Felicia.

Wait so you were cool when people were blatantly juicing and loading themselves to the gills with TRT and with Pride which had no testing, but Jon Jones getting cleared is the last straw?

Some fucked up logic you have there buddy

You've been watching since '07 and it's this that makes you stop? You realize that you started watching during a time when most people were popping PEDs like daily vitamins? USADA is a fiasco. It was brought in to make the UFC seem legit.

I've been watching since '06. PEDs don't bother me. In fact I'm all for PED usage UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A SPECIALIST.

What almost made me stop watching was the McGregor era and not actually McGregor himself but what he brought to the table with him. Fake trash talk, ducking competition for whatever reason, clogging of divisions, oversaturation of the market with sub standard talent.

I miss when fighters were anytime, anywhere savages that were fought because they wanted to prove they were the best. Everyone had a Tony Ferguson mindset.

So you fell in love in 2007 to a sport that was riddled with steroids users, but you are fed up because right now the same sport is one of the few sport in the world, and the UFC is definitely the only private organization, to have the most legit third partner to do legit random drug test to his athletes?

Make a lot of sense.

This is one of same bullshit arguments that we hear over and over again.
TS don't forget about "the Reebok deal" and the "oversaturation of the sport".
