ADCC Brackets just released on Flo (AND PBP)

Galvao intentionally removing and replacing his hook ... just by moving half of his leg lol. Calasans stands up fully with Andre on his back and Galvoa just rocks his weight backwards .... looks deep, gets sucked off, Calasans get a leg in and Andre backs off. Both standing now.

I thought this was ethical porn, but it seemed less consensual as your PBP went on.

Xande tapped him with a triangle in a Grapplers Quest event years ago, and Lovato triangled him at ADCC once. But aside from that, nothing. He's one of the toughest people to beat.

Especially in the current ruleset I was expecting him to rag doll some fools right after the 5 minute mark

It's awesome to see Craig doing so well and getting some well deserved attention. Can't wait to see how he goes against Keenan

Personally I think romulo is a terrible person to use as a barometer, especially no gi. Not to say it's not impressive to tap him, because it is - but romulo is so hot and cold, in and out the past few years you can't judge anything by his performance unfortunately.

As far as I can tell, Craig Jones was a brown belt a year ago and he just starched a multi time world champ and a no gi world champ. Not to mention coming out of nowhere from Australia.

Somewhere, Kit Dale is crying.

Galvao intentionally removing and replacing his hook for free point's goes from 3-0 to 12-0 in like 30 seconds just by moving half of his leg lol.
Calasans stands up fully with Andre on his back and Galvoa just rocks hia weight backwards to make him fall. Andre spinns to mount and immediately attacks an arm triangle from mount, looks deep, gets sucked off, Calasans get a leg in and Andre backs off. Both standing now. 2 and a half minutes left 14-0 for Galvao

That was pretty bullshit. I didn't think the rules allowed for that. Why doesn't that get exploited more often?

Usually it doesn't make much difference because the score isn't that close once one guy gets the position. But it is pretty silly.

They're buddies and did a DVD instructional together recently.

Gordon Ryan really impressed me. Of course he always looked good, but has said above his game seems strong and complete even in an environment like Adcc the way I wouldn't have tought. Big props. Can't wait to see what happens between him and Xande, and the other semifinal Keenan vs the great surprise Jones looks equally interesting. Looking forward to the final, 88 kgs is my favourite division so far.

Gordon Ryan is the Jon Jones of grappling.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that Romulo had his foot ripped off three months ago. I wonder how long he was off the mats and whether it affected his camp, etc

Well, Gordon is going to face Xande, who has looked awesome yesterday, so we will see him tested again next round if the Romulo win doesn't do it for you.

Lovato in Pena's half guard the whole match, goes to OT with no score. Lovato finishes a single but can't keep Pena down, so no points. Pena aggressive late but not close to finishing. Pena gets decision, which I don't completely agree with.

Buchecha gets the TD in overtime to beat Cyborg. Kind of a knee tap that was finished half out of bounds. Then another 2 points, probably a pass.

Orlando beats Dopp on decision. Both had -2 in OT.

Ryan gets TD (no points) with arm drag to single. Working in open guard, Gordon standing, Xande defedning his guard with solid legwork. Now closed guard. Open, Gordon goes for kimura from top deep half guard, tries for back take, ends up on bottom. Points time. Gordon with kimura series from bottom, looking back take, now armbar, but nothing. Xande very defensively solid, defended a leg lock attempt earlier, but never really close to passing either despite his pressure. Overtime and Xande takes his shirt off, because grappling. No takedowns, Xande in on some singles. Another coin toss I guess. Decision to Gordon Ryan.

Craig Jones looking for leg locks from bottom. Keenan passes, still no points in the match. Guard again, takes back of Jones off a leg lock attempt, 3-0. Now 6-0. Ends up on bottom eventually. Keenan wins 6-0. Craig Jones' incredible run of upsets is over.

Yuri up 3-0 on a back take. Wins on points 3-0.

Tonon vs JT Torres coming up.

JT finishes a single before points. JT looking to pass with pressure, Garry goes for some leg locks but JT defends. JT with a near pass going for d'arce, but Garry uses turtle to avoid pass and recovers open guard in points time. Stil 0-0. Garry inverted but JT keeping a rock solid base to avoid Garry getting under his hips for the leg locks. Now Garry turtles again, looking for a leg, JT looks for back take as he roll, back to Garry's open guard, no points. JT pressuring hard in Garry's half guard, but no pass. Going to OT, probably favors JT.

JT with a blast double but Garry rolls beautifully into a sprawl position out of bounds, sort of a rolling kneebar counter when he turned his back while getting up. Still no score. JT with some good attempts but Garry keeps countering to stay upright. JT gets the win, looks deserved based on OT.
