Holy Santa Claus shit. Don't be surprised if this kid is champ in Bellator, and the UFC soon.

His rebound from his loss has been pretty solid as well. Any other kid his age would have cracked mentally after an embarrassing defeat like that, considering the hype and platform.

Gotta respect his grit.

Pico is really as good as it gets when it comes to wrestlers coming into MMA.

any idea what he was doing in 2011, 2012 and 2013? (thanks for the list too, pretty interesting)

Def not "as good as it gets", but def one of the best. Though if speaking of newer talent, Henry Cejudo is def up there too..

I believe Henry also won a Bronze at Golden Gloves for the State of Az..

his wrestling credentials are good

boxing credentials arent anything to drool over

The one issue that I have is: is he Sage Marinovich 2.0?

Like Todd Marinovich, Sage and Pico were basically forced in to their sports by over bearing parents. I know Pico says "I wanted to do it" but it seems bizarre for any latent to have their kid be regularly competing in combat which can cause brain damage.

Guys like Conor that end up fighting because they love it seem to be more passionate, driven and thus successful. Also, Pico seems to be like a smaller Eddie Alvarez, where he is just this plodding orthodox wrestle boxer. Seeing him get dropped by Zach was like "Oh yah. This is the difference between real fighting and amateur sparring.

The huge downside of that resume compared
To pico is that he went through his whole life not being punched in the face.

Cejudo fought for a ufc title. With the fight experience of only feeling that pain for a couple years.

Both these guys have great potential. I love pico is like the 10th guy in this history of mma to throw to the body. And that left hook is nasty!

His Golden Gloves medal would tell one that he has been punched in his face.. him training with the homies at CSA and Team Black, def give proof he has been kicked in the face by Bolanos, Ross, Ortiz, etc etc.. "This history"? It's the only history thus far in this short lived sport thus far. It's not the "10th" body shot finish neither. Your level of casual is odd.
